Rough Sleeper Outreach Worker

One of the largest housing associations in Kent is currently recruiting for an experienced Rough Sleeper Support Worker who is able to work across the Medway area, engaging Rough Sleepers with Outreach work, to help them in to support frameworks and ultimately in to accommodation.

The Role
In this Rough Sleeper Support Worker role, you will be responsible for providing an excellent outreach service to the rough sleepers of Medway.
This will include the following tasks and responsibilities:
, Engage rough sleepers with the Medway area through outreach work.
, Use person-centred approach to those who are reluctant to engage with support services, this may include working closely with and sharing information with statutory agencies
, Manage your own caseload, whilst promoting a positive environment, ensuring all service users have an equal opportunity to succeed and that their diverse needs are met.
, Provide ongoing support to clients once housed.
, Working in partnership with other agencies to ensure our services are promoted, and that successful outcomes are achieved for service users.
, Able to deliver telephone out of hours support service on a rota basis.
, Comply with the relevant regulatory framework standards in every aspect of service, ensuring all relevant paperwork regarding clients and the service delivery are maintained to an auditable standard.
, Comply with all policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of yourself, your clients and your colleagues.
, Able to identify any safeguarding issues and risks.

The Candidate
To be considered for this Rough Sleeper Support Worker role, it is essential that you have previous rough sleeper outreach or homelessness experience, and be comfortable dealing with challenging behaviour
As this role includes work with vulnerable individuals, you will require an Enhanced DBS on the update service.

The Contract
This is a full time role, working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday.

The contract will run for approximately 4 months, with a chance of being extended.
