Business Change Business Analyst - Basingstoke

Exciting time to join a large-scale B2C organisation, which has sites and people spread widely across the south, providing services to tens-of-thousands of customers, as they embark on a journey of significant business and technology transformation with significant investment.

In support of this ambitious roadmap of change, they are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to support

a variety of strategic Business Change projects, pivotal to achieving the target operating model.

For an experienced Business Analyst passionate about business improvement and change, this is an exciting opportunity to become involved, from the early stages, of a significant, impactful Target Operating Model (TOM) change which will deliver industry leading change and innovation, from back-office operations through to customer experience.

Working within a high-calibre Business Change team, projects will be cross-functional and broadly varied, encompassing people, process and technology change at pace.

You will work closely with stakeholders and business users to identify needs and shape requirements.

You will play a key part in driving solutions through process mapping and requirements gathering whilst supporting all activity to deliver successful project definition, delivery and completion, whilst assessing the impact of change and working with the business to ensure smooth delivery and transitions.

A snapshot of responsibilities:

  • Engage positively with stakeholders and users across the business, fostering cooperative, supportive relationships

  • Utilise the full breadth of your consulting and analysis skills, to identify and understand problems, challenges and opportunities for improvement

  • Develop business and technical requirements into clear business cases that support development, sign off and procurement of solutions

  • Liase with other areas within the business to provide guidance and subject matter expertise in order to validate business requirements and needs

  • Provide fact-based analysis when necessary to support problem definition

  • Work with the IT teams to produce functional and technical specifications

  • Provide research and evaluation of new product enhancements/ideas to existing solutions

  • Be accountable for documentation and sign off of requirements and business processes

  • Produce and maintain other project documentation in line with the company's existing process (progress reports, GAP and impact analysis, change controls etc.)

  • Previous experience working as a Business Analyst, ideally with a focus on Business Change projects/initiatives, including people, process and technology change

  • Experience in using formal methods and tools to analyse and map processes.

  • Experience of using formal methods and tools to analyse and map business processes

  • Confidence in stakeholder mapping and management

  • Skilled in benefit analysis and management, through the full project lifecycle

  • Experience and understanding of technical and functional requirements elicitation and documentation

  • Experience of supporting broad, cross functional Target Operating Model change would be highly advantageous

  • An eye-for-detail, able to produce and present work following best-practice methods and tools

  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills

  • Exceptional communications skill with the ability to collaborate with wider teams

  • Broadly skilled in Business Analysis tools and techniques (technical and functional), with an understanding of when and how to utilise; including (in no particular order!) workshopping, process modelling/BPMN, data mapping, activity diagrams, SWOT, PESTLE, wireframing, systems architecture, UAT etc

  • Strong computer literacy including tools-of-the-trade such as MS Excel, Jira etc
