Quality Assurance Officer


An exciting oncology testing organisation are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Officer to join their facility based in Cambridge on a permanent basis due to consistent growth.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the core function of the role will be to support in the day-to-day upkeep of the companies Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure the provision of a quality service which complies with relevant standards.

The Quality Assurance officer will deputize for the Quality Manager as required.

They will assist with the maintenance of accreditation (ISO 15189, CLIA) and in obtaining any new accreditation standards.

They will partake in and support internal and external audits, assist in the investigation of non-conformances and implementation of CAPA, RCAs and corrective action follow up.

The role will involve providing an oversight of equipment verifications / validations and works with Laboratory Managers to ensure these are completed.

To be considered for the role candidates will need to be Degree educated with experience of working in a clinical / diagnostic laboratory.

Candidates must have experience working with a QMS and a Laboratory information Management System (LIMS) and in aspects of quality management, such as audits, record keeping, investigation of non-conformances etc.

Experience of working in a UKAS accredited laboratory (preferably ISO15189) is essential.

Experience of CLIA, CAP or CLEP accreditations would be desirable, along with experience working with QPulse software.
