Nurse Clinical Lead - Ware, Herts 

Location: Westgate House Care Centre, Tower Road, Ware, Herts, SG12 7LP

Salary: Competitive

Hours: 44 hours per week, shifts across Monday to Sunday

Job type: Permanent, full-time

Westgate House Care Centre is a 109 bedded Care Centre caring for elderly residents with a variety of nursing needs, including nursing care, dementia care, respite care, intermediate care and palliative care.

Westgate House was built in 2006 and is equipped to offer residents the complete care package.

The home has also been designed according to dementia care best practice; a central circular corridor provides a continuous path around a secure sensory garden.

We are also an 'A rated' sponsor with the Home Office and can offer sponsorship for Tier 2 visas for overseas Nurses.

As Nurse Clinical Lead, you will support the Care Home Manager to ensure the highest achievable standards of care are delivered to residents whilst working within the defined company policies and procedures and that all nursing and care practices are evidence based and reflect current trends.

ABOUT THE ROLE:


  • Ensuring clinical excellence in the home and leading a team of care staff to ensure the delivery of an excellent standard of care
  • Promoting independence and dignity and positively enhancing the lives of individuals in our care
  • Reducing Health & Safety risks and keep up to date with all current regulatory standards
  • Displaying exceptional people management skills by creating and leading a team of willing and dedicated staff identifying strengths and weaknesses within
  • Developing staff through supervision and mentorship
  • Providing and keeping up to date with relevant training

ABOUT YOU:


  • Right to live and work in the UK (we can offer sponsorship for those who require a Tier 2 visa, subject to meeting Home Office requirements)
  • Qualification as Registered General Nurse (RGN)
  • Hold valid and current NMC registration and pin number
  • People leadership experience
  • Knowledge of the care standards and other regulatory bodies (e.g.

    CQC)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Be able to establish and maintain relationships with colleagues and key professionals
  • A passion for elderly care and clinical excellence
  • Experience providing nursing care in an elderly setting is desirable, but not essential
