People Advisor

I am working with an award-winning Food Production Company, looking for a HR Advisor/HR Officer FTC Role 4-6 Month Contract

The role is commutable from Keighley, Skipton, Accrington, Nelson, Blackburn, Bury, Colne

As HR Officer you will oversee the day to day HR operations, delivering an effective, hands-on, practical support and advisory service to managers and employees

Role and responsibilities of the HR Officer - Single Site:

  • You will be responsible for ER cases including actively managing disciplinary and grievance cases, providing guidance on performance management issues, actively manage absence and sickness, covering reporting and paperwork to support the above to ensure legal compliance.

  • Updating SOP's Policies and procedures within the business

  • You will also have the opportunity to support any upcoming changes within the business.

  • Coordinating performance reviews and appraisals

  • Absence management, supporting managers with both short- and long-term absences
    Overseeing all recruitment process for the site,

  • Support, coach and challenge line management with absence, disciplinary and grievance issues

  • Identify development opportunities to improve soft skills and build future talent
    Lead engaging, proactive communications across the site

What you need to be considered for the Standalone HR Officer - Single Site

  • You'll need a CIPD Level 5 or above (or be qualified by experience)

  • Experience of working within either Food or Drink Production or FMCG is essential

  • Experience providing generalist support in HR Advisor/HR Officer or HR Assistant role essential

  • Ability to communicate across various areas of the business at all levels effectively

  • Experience of conducting disciplinaries and grievance meetings and process is essential

  • Vast experience of Absence management

  • A confident, hands on approach with a communicative attitude with the ability to keep a cool head under pressure

  • A strong understanding of employment law.

  • Proven experience of in-depth ER Issues, Disciplinaries, Grievances is essential

  • Ability to work on own initiative

You will need to hit the ground running to provide a professional and efficient generalist Human Resources service to the site in a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
