Service Manager- Safeguarding and Support Team

A developing Local Authority is looking for a Service Manager to join their Safeguarding and support team in North London.

As a successful Service Manager, you be managing and developing the Safeguarding & Support service, that provides a service to children in need and looked after children.



This Service Manager position is a full-time, and permanent position.

You will need to have Safeguarding experience along with the current knowledge of the Current Legislation, policies and procedures.

You will need to be committed and have the drive to match the ambitions to the Local Authority.

Your responsibilities as the Service Manager:



  • Manage, lead and develop the safeguarding service



  • Effective management of childcare services

  • Identify staff learning and development needs

  • Manage and develop and continuously review services



Requirements of you as the Service Manager:



  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)

  • A valid HCPC registration

  • Significant experience of working within Safeguarding

  • Experience and knowledge of working within children in need and looked after children

  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence




Location: North London


Salary: up to £59,000
