Recruitment Officer - Food Manufacturing

Position: Recruitment Officer


Location: West Yorkshire commutable from Wakefield, Leeds, Huddersfield, Bradford,


Job Type: Permanent Fulltime


Hours: Days Monday to Friday


Salary: up to £25,000 per annum + Benefits DOE



I am recruiting exclusively for a Recruitment Officer to join a leading Food Manufacturing client in west Yorkshire


The role is to support the HR and Direct Resourcing team for hourly paid employees


This is a great opportunity to take a first step into a direct resourcing and a broader HR team with a rapidly growing food manufacturing business.


The role will support the HR and Labour resource team in the recruitment of operatives and hourly paid employees to the business.


Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to:



  • Sourcing candidates via advertisements and other sources

  • Prepare and maintain recruitment relating communications and advertisements to support consistency and employer brand

  • Handling job vacancy responses

  • Conducting telephone screening and interviews

  • Arranging interviews 1st, 2nd and final stage face to face

  • Arranging inductions and assessment centres and coordinating with site management/stakeholders

  • Responsible for updating internal HR portal and CRM system

  • Communication with applicants providing feedback/offers to candidates

  • Database management and administration

  • Ensure all data and company databases, documentation and communication comply with GDPR processes and company procedures and policies


Key skills and Experience:



  • Previous experience working as an internal recruitment officer or talent acquisition assistant - Preferred

  • Worked within a fast-paced environment ideally Food or FMCG

  • Languages - Fluent Polish or Romanian - advantageous

  • Ability to manage high-volume call handling

  • Self-motivated and able to work to targets Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

  • Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail

  • IT literate, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Good organisational skills

  • Confident and professional telephone manner Ability to work on your own initiative as well as in part of a team
