Are you a Technical Sales Engineer / Technical Business Development Manager with good engineering, manufacturing or production knowledge?


As an Engineering Sales Person your role is to manage and develop existing customers but it is equally important to source and bring in new business.


For this role you can be located anywhere in the United Kingdom as it is a purely mobile role where you will be home office based.


If you have very good knowledge of manufacturing process, technical application and specific uses of Spring Wire products, Gas Springs and other specialist manufactured product then this is a great job for you.


Ideally located - Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Oxford, Gloucester, Milton Keynes, Preston, Bolton, Blackpool


Salary - £30K to £40K basic DOE + Car / Car Allowance + pension + Mobile Phone + Laptop


The Candidate



  • Previous hands-on Technical Sales experience primarily in manufacturing, machined components, tooling, pressing, fabrication, metal forming, spring wire, gas springs.

  • A confident manner with the ability to develop existing relationships and identify new business opportunities.

  • Be able to speak in a technical manner advising on product solutions.

  • Organise and conduct customer progress meetings.

  • Experience of working within a commercial, customer facing role is beneficial.

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing campaigns.

  • Be able to liaise, motivate and influence internal teams and colleagues.

  • Motivated to work towards and achieve sales targets.

  • Organised with the ability to manage your own time.


The Role



  • As a Technical Business Development Manager / Technical Sales Engineer, you will manage new and existing business within the Midlands, South West and Home Counties area.

  • Develop and build a client base through effective communication and account management.

  • Manage and attend client visits and meetings

  • Develop, manage and implement effective targeted marketing campaigns and strategies.

  • Attend, manage and represent the company at exhibitions and trade shows.

  • Offer customers advice and technical support when required.

  • Attend sales meetings - report on sales, leads, results, market place and strategy.
