Business Development Manager

My clients are an award winning law firm who specialise in newbuild residential conveyancing.

Their Head office is based in Manchester where they employ over 150 staff, they also have a smaller office based in the centre of London.

I am looking to recruit a Business Development Manager (Home Based) for the South (around the Reading area).

The role will be home based with travel to sites 2-3 times a week.

There may be occasional travel to Altrincham for training/meeting purposes.

The main role of the BDM is to support the Head of Business Development in maintaining and expanding relationships with clients and referrers ensuring that their needs and expectations are met through the delivery of a client focused and professional service.

The successful candidate will:

Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships

Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors

Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives

Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

Forecast and track key account metrics

Identify and grow opportunities

Produce and deliver presentations to clients/potential clients

Work closely with Fee Earners in order to address any client issues or concerns

At least 2 years' experience working in a client focused role

Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation

Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs

Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail

Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Willing to Travel across sites throughout the South of England

Must hold a full, clean driving licence

Property experience (conveyancing, estate agency, new build homes etc)

Experience of using a case management system (Proclaim)

Salary Circa £35k + Commission
