Salary up to £28,500, depending on experience
Based at our Clients Edinburgh office, the successful candidate will be expected to support teams on a firm-wide basis, across all four offices.
Therefore, it is expected that travel to the Clients offices in Scotland and London office will be required.
The job holder provides a wide range of assistance to colleagues across the Business Development (BD) team, who, in turn, provide both strategic and practical BD support to the clients practice and sector groups.
Responsible for some of the client's smaller sector groups, working with the relevant lead partners to plan and deliver agreed BD objectives.
Working as part of the wider BD team, to respond to the varied requirements of the business and its clients.

Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in a Business Development Executive role
Professional Services sector within the legal profession
Undertake market, sector and client research and analysis to assist BD Managers to support key clients, events, tender responses, prospect identification and other BD activities.
Working together with lead partners, develop and implement market-specific BD strategies and plans for the relevant secondary sector(s), in line with the firm's strategic priorities, and undertake market, sector and client research and analysis to support key clients, events, tender responses, prospect identification and other BD activities for those groups.
Assist partners and other lawyers to carry out the activities required to meet practice and sector group objectives, including assisting them develop and maintain client networks, identify leads and build prospect pools, track BD activity, advise on prospect strategy, proposition development and all aspects of proposal writing, pitching, tendering or securing referrals.
Proactively seek to build relationships with lawyers and other colleagues as required to execute BD activities and plans.
Support the ongoing development and maintenance of databases of relevant information for BD purposes, such as credentials, quotes, marketing materials etc.
Provide general administrative support to the BD team and undertake any other reasonable assistance duties as requested.
PERSON SPECIFICATION ESSENTIAL
Proactive and highly motivated self-starter
Educated to degree level
At least two years' experience in a BD or marketing role within the legal profession
Excellent competency and skills using MS office packages
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Understanding and experience of CRM systems
Excellent attention to detail
Client-facing experience, either in client management or BD
Experience using Adobe InDesign software application
