Installations Supervisor

The company is looking for an Installations Supervisor to join their team.

You will be supporting the Director of the company to run the business smoothly. You will be trained directly by the Director to deliver the stated job responsibilities.

You will also be expected to learn a basic level of Coppersmith skills so that you are able to supervise and troubleshoot job installations.

Key Responsibilities: (will include all or most of the following depending on your skills set and abilities):

  • Project management with the client and architects as required
  • Providing technical advice to clients
  • Installation scheduling
  • Installation management (ensuring snag free installations) of all UK installation teams
  • Procurement of materials
  • On-site job measures for quotations
  • Developing quotations from drawings and live site measures
  • Provide CPD training to Architects as part of their CPD Lunch & Learn Programme
  • Training of installation staff in the company’s processes and systems
  • Learning from the Director and then helping to develop training that other installation team members can use to become more skilled and self-sufficient
  • Onsite marketing to help the business secure future work

Essential Requirements:

  • Driving licence (own car or motorbike would be an advantage)
  • Some onsite experience within the construction trade
  • Good timekeeping
  • Proactive attitude
  • Able to work effectively with a minimum level of supervision
  • Mature level of communication skills
  • Some project management skills
  • Willing to actively learn to systematise the knowledge for general use in the business

Desired Requirements:

  • Some management experience
  • Read and implement architectural drawings

Location: Mostly jobsites in central and northwest London.

Ideally you should be able to commute from home to jobsites within these locations in around one hour.

Some days, you will be expected to travel from one jobsite to another several times a day when visiting prospective installations.

It would be preferred that you have your own transport (e.g., small van, motor bike, electric bike).

However, they may provide you with transport if you are a particularly good fit.

Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday; 8am to 5pm (1-hour total for tea breaks and lunch break).

On occasion you may be expected to work on Saturdays.
