Programme Support Assistant - Fire & Rescue Service

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Programme Support Assistant to work on a full-time, long-term contract in Bognor Regis.

The Prevention Team delivers targeted programmes to those who are most vulnerable to keep them safe.

The programmes are designed to help adults, children and communities to fulfil their potential and support a prosperous economy through reducing risk, injury and property damage.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications
, Experience of providing high-level administrative support
, Front line customer care both through telephone , electronic mailing systems and face to face interaction
, Experience of administrating financial management systems (desirable)
, Experience of providing mentoring/coaching/on-the-job training to colleagues to maximise their specific capabilities( desirable)
, Experience of working with or in the Fire and Rescue Service (desirable)

Key Skills:
, Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with a range of people to create and maintain effective working relationships.

, Ability to organise, prioritise and plan own workload to meet deadlines and targets.

, Problem solving skills with the ability to anticipate problems and resolve issues independently.

, Excellent IT skills in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, use of Internet and other web-based applications, for the integral use of word processing, analysis and research of data.

, Excellent literacy and numeracy skills in order to assist with purchasing and budget monitoring

Please note that this role is predominantly home-based, but the postholder might be asked to complete initial training in Bognor and attend occasional meetings.

The role is likely to last for 12 months
