SHEQ Manager

Proman is looking for a SHEQ manager, for a steelfixing subcontractor currently working in the HS2 project.

Main duties:


  • To ensure compliance with the SHEQ action plan established by the SHEQ Director and the Site Foreman.
  • To write SHEQ reports, manuals and other SHEQ related documents such as working procedures.
  • To conduct spot checks on surveillance, audits and incident investigation and give the alert on safety and quality hazards.
  • To organise and perform quality checks on site according to the control roadmap and to manage the Quality Controller on site.
  • To complete prevention inspections on a regular basis and ensure records maintained of same.
  • To investigate and to analyse accidents, incidents and non-compliance issues and to establish corrective and preventive measures as a result.
  • To facilitate all forms of risk assessment related to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality e.g., manual handling, COSHH, fire prevention and to act as a final authority where a specialist response is required in relation to risk assessments performed by others on site.
  • To ensure a good communication flow with the client on matters related to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality.

Requirements:



  • Bachelor or a master’s degree on SHEQ, with a first experience in the construction industry
  • 3–5-year experience in SHEQ in the construction and civil engineering industry.
  • CSCS card


  • You master UK’s legislation in SHEQ.
  • You master quality control procedures in a project.
  • Excellent report writing skills and document management experience
  • To be autonomous and proactive.
  • French language proeficiency is desirable but not required.
