Head of Performance and Intelligence

Sanctuary Personnel, a leading recruitment company within the private and public sector has a locum role for a Head of Performance & Intelligence to work remotely.

This role will be remote working but adhoc travel to Chichester is required.

The pay rate for this Head of Performance & Intelligence role is £500-600 per day (ltd) and has an initial 4-month contract.

Main duties:

  • Manage the service delivery, ensuring intended outcomes are being achieved through effective management against performance indicators
  • Lead and drive a culture of continual improvement for the Council ensuring business processes are effective and efficient and enable the highest possible levels of service quality to be provided
  • Be responsible for significant delegated financial budgets and resources, ensuring that they are allocated effectively for the delivery of intended outcomes in a manner which demonstrates value for money and compliance with relevant policies and guidelines.

    Area of impact – contributory impact across the £400m+
  • budget of WSCC
  • Develop business plans to implement the agreed business strategies for the Council and its partners which are focused on delivering the political objectives and priorities of West Sussex and which mitigate all identified risks
  • Develop key relationships for the Council with a defined range of external organisations to enable the development and delivery of effective outcomes through collaborative, joined-up working

Requirements of the Head of Performance & Intelligence:

  • Post graduate professional qualification relevant either to management or to the professional service specialism, for example, data capture, management and interrogation, performance management; or equivalent level of significant experience demonstrating comprehensive application of the above levels of knowledge in a relevant setting
  • Fellowship membership of a relevant professional body or equivalent high-level experience of involved practices
  • Able to provide expertise across the technical/professional specialism at the highest level of proficiency
  • Ability to develop policies and approaches to business which achieve corporate objectives
