Due to expansion this leading manufacturer is looking to recruit an additional Shift Manager, this growing FMCG Company continues to experience 15-20% year on year growth etc.

Responsible for a team of production team members you will manage the factory on a shift rotating basis ensuring all employees achieve budgeted outputs, efficiencies and quality.

You will ensure all safety processes and systems are followed and adhered to at all times by all employees enabling a safe working environment.

As the Shift Manager you role will include:

  • Maintain the site at ‘audit ready' level at all times by conducting weekly audits and ensuring that audit targets for your specific area of responsibility are met and/or exceeded.

  • Ensure your staff are fully trained in Safe Systems of Work and Standard Operating Procedures and regularly review to maintain adherence to these processes.

  • Support in the development and improvement of Safe Systems of Work

  • Investigate all quality issues that may arise and proactively seek ways to improve quality systems to prevent reoccurrence of any issues.

  • Liaise with other relevant departments to enable us to achieve the delivery of the best quality product at the appropriate costs.

  • Accountability for the production operation and ensuring the appropriate speeds, efficiency and costs are maintained.

  • Undertake day to day management of your team including training, inductions, absence management, performance and capability management and conduct issues.

  • Responsibility for labour requirements ensuring adequate cover during normal working and holiday periods.

  • Responsibility for the Time Recording System for your staff ensuring appropriate use of such and any issues are appropriately investigated and are correctly recorded for Payroll purposes.

  • Any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this post, for which the post holder has the necessary experience.

As the Shift Manager you will need:

  • IOSH ‘Managing Safely' Qualification

  • Experience of working within the textile or similar industry

  • Experience of managing a large team on a shift basis

  • Proficient with SAP

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Flexible to cover shifts for holidays and absence

  • Knowledge of building security ensuring the Factory is opened and secured at weekends
