Project Update Communications Manager - Essex / Remote / Working from Home

Salary: Up to £38,000 + benefits

The Company:

The client is not like other broadband providers, and they don't really want to be.

They're currently on a mission to ensure rural villages in the East of England can access full-fiber broadband, that's future-ready, Hyperfast service to homes and businesses.

Unlike many other broadband service providers, they work with the community to build full-fiber broadband networks, which they fund through private investment.

The Role:

They are now looking for an experienced Project Update Communications Manager to join their team working remotely.

The Project Update Communications Manager will be responsible for leading the Project Update Communications programme and will be accountable for managing the communications plan by co-ordinating and delivering project update communications to senior stakeholders, residents, and businesses across their active build roll-out programme.

It is expected that the successful candidate will assess the newly developed processes and aim to continual improve and enhance the communications plan and letter content.

* Be responsible for the management and successful delivery of the Project Update Communications plan in line with the organisation's values

* Working proactively with their delivery teams to manage engaging project updates across the fibre roll-out programme in East Anglia

* Manage the planning, creation, distributing, control and monitoring of all project update information in accordance with the communications management plan

* Perform continuous improvement reviews of the Project Update Communications strategy and plan

* Alignment of communications programme to guidelines, policies, and procedures

* Work closely with the Communications team and Stakeholder Engagement Manager to positively add value to project communications

Essential Skills & Requirements:

* Education/Qualifications: University graduate in English/Journalism or Creative Writing

* 4+ years' experience in project communications role

* Significant experience of managing engagement with one or more of the stakeholder cohorts referred to above, statutory bodies and government on fibre roll out / infrastructure or regeneration projects

* Experience developing and successfully implementing stakeholder engagement plans.

* Broader stakeholder engagement experience and skills desirable

* Worked for fibre broadband network / utilities/infrastructure related industry in past role.

* Must be a confident communicator and presenter.

* Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally

* Must possess excellent organisational and planning skills.

* Familiarity with using various CRM systems essential

Other Job Requirements:

* The management of two direct reports: Regional Communications Executives from Q2-2022


* Broader stakeholder engagement experience and skills desirable

* Worked for fibre broadband network / utilities/infrastructure related industry in past role.
