A Purchase Ledger Assistant is required to join the finance team of an established provider of calibration, repair and asset management services to aerospace and defence, pharmaceutical and medical, automotive and transport and energy sectors with a worldwide reach.


Our ideal candidate will have previous experience within a purchase ledger / purchasing / finance / accounting role.

Ideal locations - Farnborough, Aldershot, Farnham, Yateley, Guildford, Woking, Basingstoke, Bracknell, Reading, Leatherhead, Newbury, Epsom, Maidenhead, Slough, Hayes, High Wycombe


This role does support a hybrid working model with the successful candidate having the capability to work from home 1-2 days per week.


Basic salary £22 - 27k dependent upon experience + 25 days holiday + pension + employee perks and discount platform + cycle to work scheme


The Candidate



  • Hands on experience in a purchase ledger / finance / accounting role.

  • You should have a knowledge of double entry alongside an overall awareness of financial reporting.


  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are advantageous.

  • You will be mathematically focussed with an aptitude for figures and analysis and a keen eye for detail.

  • The ability to work to deadlines and target and remain steady under pressure.

  • Proactive in your approach with the confidence to challenge and work independently whilst also fostering a team ethic.


The Role



  • Create new supplier profiles within ERP and finance systems.

  • Process PO related purchase invoices through ERP systems.

  • Manually enter and code invoices in the finance system.

  • Reconcile supplier statements.

  • Monitor the accounts inbox.

  • Support payment run preparation.

  • Process employee expenses.

  • Assist with the month end process

  • Be involved in intercompany reconciliation.
