Shift Manager

This Shift Manager position is with a globally leading chemical manufacturer.

The successful Shift Manager will be a natural leader with a root cause problem solving mindset that will help us drive continuous improvement to help create a high-performing environment.

Responsibilities of the Shift Manager;

  • Responsible for the safe and compliant operation of production facility out of hours.

  • Ensure compliance with, and enforcement of, all relevant safety procedures, safe systems of work and regulatory requirements, such as standard operating procedures and work instructions.

  • Focus on maintaining a hygienic, clean and safe working environment - using ‘5S' methodology

  • Ensure all quality checks are carried out accurately and recorded.

  • Complete Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any significant operational issue, or as required.

  • Leading by example, actively promote employee engagement & continuous improvement.

To be successful in this position as Shift Manager candidates will ideally have a Degree in a manufacturing/engineering/chemistry-based subject is preferable, otherwise Min GCSE grade A

*-C in English Language, Mathematics and Science.

It would be desirable for the Shift Manager to have IOSH level 2 Managing Safely, as well as NEBOSH level 3.
