Job Description:
As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEMH needs and autism within our school community.

You will work closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to implement effective strategies and interventions tailored to meet the individual needs of each student.

Your responsibilities will include:



  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND, SEMH and autism.

  • Developing and implementing behaviour management plans in collaboration with teachers and SENCO.

  • Supporting students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and coping strategies.

  • Monitoring and tracking the progress of students and reporting to relevant teaching staff.

  • Liaising with parents/carers and external professionals to ensure holistic support for students.


Requirements:



  • Relevant experience working with students with SEMH needs and/or autism.

  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Flexibility, resilience, and a positive attitude towards challenges.

  • Relevant qualifications(desirable).
