DT Teacher

Integra Education are currently recruiting for a Secondary DT Teacher in Skelmersdale.


The Ideal Candidate will have experience of working with young people with a variety of SEMH needs and have excellent behaviour management skills.

The school is a large setting that caters for children aged 11-16 with class sizes of no more than 8 pupils.


We are currently keen to speak to people with a DT specialism and experience with teaching level 1 construction.


You will work with the young people to build excellent relationships in order to support progression and development towards their targets and goals.


Role & Responsibilities:



  • Planning and delivering tailored programmes, learning objectives and assessment plans

  • Delivering and adapting content, style, format of the curriculum to ensure the most effective results are achieved

  • Building strong relationships with pupils


Candidate Requirements:



  • Be a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS), hold a degree level qualification in a relevant subject, or have experience working in a similar environment

  • Have experience of working with disengaged students with SEMH

  • Have a minimum of twelve months teaching experience within the UK

  • Be committed to planning, delivering, and reporting on high-quality, impactful lessons that engage the students

  • Be required to complete our mandatory safeguarding training

  • Confident lesson planning

  • A strong grasp of the UK curriculum

  • The ability to work 1:1 or in small groups

  • Great communication and behaviour management skills
