Electrical Maintenance Engineer

We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work on a permanent basis in Leyland.


The role will be working 12 hour shifts covering days and nights.

You will work a few days on, a few days off then every 4th week have a full week off work.


Salary is c£40-49,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience) plus holidays, pension



Duties for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer:


·The ability to understand and fault find schematic drawings.


·Experience of inverter drives.


·Experience of working with relay logic and PLCs.


·A good and practical understanding of operational plant and control.


·Carry out preventive maintenance tasks.


·Maintenance background essential.


·Have extensive electrical experience working in a continuous process environment.


·Have proven experience with fault finding, including troubleshooting and solving problems.


·Be conversant with basic PLC logic and inverter drives.


·You must be able to work using your own initiative.


·You must be a motivated individual.


·Assisting with other Mechanical/Operational Departments when required.


·Training will be provided to the right candidate.


·4 week introductory start on days to get you familiarised with the plant.


Essential:


·City and Guilds NVQ level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.


·A Systematic and methodical approach to problem solving and applying new engineering ideas.


·A team worker with good communication skills (both verbal and written).


·Must be able to work under the Health & Safety guidelines.


·Able to complete risk assessments.


-Ability to work within a team and independently.
