Principal Contract and Procurement Solicitor

Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a thriving Local Authority, based Wales, which is in need of an experienced Principal Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join their team.



Role: Principal Contracts and Procurement Solicitor


Location: Wales, hybrid working


Contract Length: 3 months ongoing


Rate of Pay: £55-£60ph umbrella

The Role:



  • Draft legislation on various different Commercial Contracts matters

  • Deal with caseloads on Commercial Contracts matters from start to completion

  • To assist with the investigation of complaints relating to Commercial Contracts matters

  • To contribute to the positive and well managed running of the Council's legal team


The Person:



  • Someone with a minimum of 5 years PQE in Commercial Contracts and Procurement Law

  • Ideally someone with at least 3 years of experience working within a Local Authority

  • Someone with current, hands on experience of drafting legislation

  • Experience of drafting construction contracts (NEC/JCT) and related documents would be ideal

  • Someone who is able to proactively contribute to the successful running of the team
