Apprentice-trained fitters, Plant Fitters, HGV/PSV Technicians, Vehicle Technicians, Coachbuilders, Hydraulic Engineers, or anyone with relevant mechanical experience.

Duties of the Mechanical Fitter opportunities:

• Fitting and assembly of hydraulic and pneumatic components to vehicles


• Working from basic engineering drawings and build instructions


• Mounting bespoke components to vehicles


• Ensuring all work meets quality standards


• Maintaining records and documentation


• High standard of housekeeping and H&S adherence

Ideal experience or background for the Mechanical Fitter:

• Mechanical or engineering background (vehicle, plant, hydraulic, or industrial)


• Able to read and interpret basic engineering drawings


• Good initiative and work ethic


• Use hand and power tools

• Starting wage up to £14.50 an hr


• Plenty of overtime at time-and-a-half


• Early Friday finish
