General Operative

Job Title: General Operative
Location: HU9
Pay: £12.21 – £13.94 per hour
Hours:



  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm


  • Friday: 8:00am – 3:00pm


  • Must also be able to work rotating shifts: 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm (£13.94/hr)


Hours Paid:



  • First 12 weeks: 36.5 hours per week (unpaid breaks)


  • After 12 weeks: 39 hours per week (paid breaks)


Contract Length: 8 weeks initially, with potential for ongoing or permanent work.

Job Summary:
We are recruiting for a General Operative to join a busy and expanding flooring and wall-covering manufacturer.

This is a hands-on, manual role suitable for someone with a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Assist in manufacturing flooring products


  • Load and unload materials


  • Operate machinery and tools (training provided)


  • General labouring, packing, and cleaning


  • Basic quality checks


  • Maintain a clean and safe environment


  • Follow company and health & safety procedures


  • Work as part of a team to meet production targets


Requirements:



  • Previous factory/warehouse/production experience preferred


  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy items


  • Reliable, punctual, hardworking


  • Able to follow instructions and work independently or in a team


  • Willing to learn
