Job Responsibilities

As a Year 5 Class Teacher, you will:




  • Teach Year 5 pupils each afternoon, delivering engaging, high-quality lessons.




  • Share classroom responsibilities with another Year 5 Class Teacher to ensure consistency and continuity in learning.




  • Contribute to planning, assessment and the wider curriculum as part of the Year 5 team.




  • Foster a safe, inclusive and supportive environment in which pupils can reach their full potential.




  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and personal development.




  • Work closely with colleagues, leadership and families to support pupil progress.

Qualifications/Experience

To be considered for the Year 5 Class Teacher role, you will need:




  • QTS and proven experience teaching in KS2, ideally as a Year 5 Class Teacher.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.




  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service




  • Right to work in the UK
