Salary: £104 - £110 per day


About the role/school
We are recruiting a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Tower Hamlets.

This is a full-time role supporting a pupil with additional needs, providing vital support to ensure they can access the curriculum and thrive in their learning environment.


The successful 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant will be confident in working with children with SEND, experienced in delivering personalised support, and passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential within a mainstream setting.


Job Responsibilities




  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with SEND throughout the school day.




  • Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and personalised strategies.




  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development.




  • Work closely with class teachers and support staff to ensure consistent support.




  • Prepare and organise classroom resources to support learning activities.




  • Monitor and report on pupil progress to teachers and SENCO.




  • Encourage independence and confidence in learning.





Qualifications/Experience




  • Experience working with pupils with SEND in a school setting - essential.




  • Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.




  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.




  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service.




  • Right to work in the UK.
