An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Vehicle / Van Mechanic to join a long-established commercial vehicle service station with the latest on-site garage facilities.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Performing a range of tasks from routine servicing to diagnosing faults, handling electrical systems, and conducting disassembly and reassembly.
* Adhering to manufacturers repair guidelines while ensuring safety and responsible practices.
* Meeting repair time standards and utilising specialised tools when necessary.
* Supporting fault diagnosis procedures.
* Adhering to warranty procedures during repairs and handling warranty-related materials.
* Reporting all vehicle defects to the Workshop Supervisor.
* Accurate completion of service sheets following company instructions.
* Compliance with company time recording processes and precise job card documentation.
* Maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and proper maintenance of workshop facilities, equipment, and tools.

* Previous experience of at least 2 years working as a HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter or in a similar role.
* Technician Mechanic with Level 3 qualification.
* Desirable MOT certification.

* Team player with safety consciousness.
Shift:
* Week 1-3 (7am - 4pm)
* Week 4: (12.30pm - 10.00pm)
* 1 in 4 Saturdays

The role will cover the local area and will involve travel to and from different sites.
Mobile LCV Technician job role:
- Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturers procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.
- Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
- Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and with warranty material on completion of a repair.
- Road test vehicle when required.
- Opportunity to work on HGVs.
