Shopper Insights Manager
Rust-Oleum is looking for a shopper insights professional to join its Shopper Insights team.
This role is based in Vernon Hills, IL.
The Shopper Insights Manager will play a key support role to the Vice President of Insights & Category Management, providing a comprehensive omnichannel understanding of shopper behavior and trends to internal departments (marketing, brand, commercialization, sales, and category management) and external retail customers.
This role will be accountable for leveraging foundational primary research, syndicated data, and consumer and macro trends and foresight to develop meaningful insights and strategic recommendations that deliver a competitive advantage for Rust-Oleum.
The Shopper Insights Manager will serve as a strong voice for brick-and-mortar and eCommerce market intelligence and shopper insights across the organization, demonstrating natural curiosity and a passion for studying shoppers, as well as effectively communicating who they are, how they behave, and why.
Responsibilities:
Develop monthly reports that include insights and opportunities based on syndicated data and secondary data sources.
Influence and drive business results by analyzing, interpreting, and communicating key shopper insights from various available data sources
Educate the internal organization on appropriate applications and limitations of available sources of consumer, shopper, and customer data
Identify business knowledge gaps, work with the in-house insights team to identify the best research methodologies, and support primary and secondary research projects across retail customer teams
Collaborate with category management, sales, consumer insights, and marketing teams to understand current business questions and emerging priorities to develop and manage customized research that provides meaningful and actionable findings
Communicate research findings to both internal teams and external customers that help make informed decisions on innovation, communication strategy, shopper marketing, category management program strategy and other business development initiatives
Build reports to focus on national and retail customer-specific analysis of: Path-to-purchase, Decision Trees, Retailer Perception, etc., with a goal of customer engagement and actionable recommendations
Manage the process for insight generation from custom research to help drive a better understanding of omnichannel shopper behavior at key retailers
Eagerness to continuously build advocacy for the shopper insights function
Qualifications
Need to Have:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Consumer Research, Market Research, Quantitative Analysis, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, or related field
A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a category management and/or shopper insights role, or market research experience in the consumer goods or retail vertical
Experience in at least one of the following:
Broad based experience leading quantitative and qualitative research, including online surveys, user/usability testing, focus groups, etc.
(i.e., questionnaire design, sampling, weighting, programming), report writing and presentations
Relevant experience in retail/category management, retail shelf management, or shopper insights support
Hands on experience with a full range of syndicated and custom research sources (Household Panel, shopper studies, Circana/Nielsen/Numerator, etc)
Ability to design and deploy research from the ground up and manage projects from inception to completion
Ability to work with and connect multiple data sources to drive concise and actionable insights
Thinks rationally and creatively, recognizing and testing assumptions, and moving to creative problem resolution by identifying facts, causes and issues
Exceptional communication and effective storytelling skills - verbal, written & presentation
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Nice to Have:
Relevant Master's degree or MBA preferred
Willingness to travel 10-25% of the time
Knowledge of shopper segmentation using behavioral, demographic, and psychographic data to inform targeting strategies
Knowledge of existing and emerging data/research suppliers
Experience in household cleaners is highly desirable

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Hands-on leader to oversee and manage a team of assembly workers to ensure efficient, high-quality production of EIFS panels while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Demonstrate ownership and accountability for developing, growing, and continuously improving a strategic value stream to meet sales demand and volume expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and manage daily work/production schedules, allocate resources, and manage the workflow to ensure efficiency, timely completion of orders, and adherence to production targets.
Lead Tier 1 meetings and support Tier 2/3 meetings daily/weekly.
Plan and schedule production runs based on customer demand and agreed upon delivery dates.
Prepare and coordinate front-end set-up and planning to ensure smooth operations to meet daily production targets.
Monitor the assembly process and workflow as well as staging and packaging to identify potential issues, resolve production problems, address employee questions, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and meet quality specifications.
Recommend capital investments to automate processes.
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and set-up of production equipment to ensure maximum operating efficiency.
Work with Quality Control to conduct quality checks on completed panels to validate tolerances and specifications.
Ensure proper staging and packaging to minimize damage.
Review daily production records, identify trends, and evaluate employee performance.
Lead and motivate assembly workers, providing guidance and support on the floor side by side with the assembly team.
Oversee and guide employees in their daily tasks, including training, delegating tasks, and ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures including those regarding safety.
Train new employees and document and provide guidance on new processes and/or equipment.
Communicate with other departments and key personnel, customer service, operations, shipping, procurement, etc.
to facilitate seamless workflow and address concerns to ensure customer expectations are understood and relevant information is shared and communicated to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Prepare production reports and maintain records.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and labor laws.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High school diploma or GED required.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, industrial manufacturing, engineering or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly with proven supervisory skill and experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, quality control, and production management.
Minimum of 2 years construction or trades experience - plastering, troweling, painting, or other application technology preferred.
Experience safely and effectively using hand tools.
Experience with CNC equipment, preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Quality assurance or manufacturing management certifications preferred.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of assembly line operations and basic construction management
Ability to read blueprints and technical designs, and translate to production assembly processes
Ability to take and record accurate measurements
Proven ability to plaster, trowel, paint, or other accurately apply coatings

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Hands-on leader to oversee and manage a team of assembly workers to ensure efficient, high-quality production of EIFS panels while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Demonstrate ownership and accountability for developing, growing, and continuously improving a strategic value stream to meet sales demand and volume expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and manage daily work/production schedules, allocate resources, and manage the workflow to ensure efficiency, timely completion of orders, and adherence to production targets.
Lead Tier 1 meetings and support Tier 2/3 meetings daily/weekly.
Plan and schedule production runs based on customer demand and agreed upon delivery dates.
Prepare and coordinate front-end set-up and planning to ensure smooth operations to meet daily production targets.
Monitor the assembly process and workflow as well as staging and packaging to identify potential issues, resolve production problems, address employee questions, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and meet quality specifications.
Recommend capital investments to automate processes.
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and set-up of production equipment to ensure maximum operating efficiency.
Work with Quality Control to conduct quality checks on completed panels to validate tolerances and specifications.
Ensure proper staging and packaging to minimize damage.
Review daily production records, identify trends, and evaluate employee performance.
Lead and motivate assembly workers, providing guidance and support on the floor side by side with the assembly team.
Oversee and guide employees in their daily tasks, including training, delegating tasks, and ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures including those regarding safety.
Train new employees and document and provide guidance on new processes and/or equipment.
Communicate with other departments and key personnel, customer service, operations, shipping, procurement, etc.
to facilitate seamless workflow and address concerns to ensure customer expectations are understood and relevant information is shared and communicated to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Prepare production reports and maintain records.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and labor laws.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High school diploma or GED required.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, industrial manufacturing, engineering or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly with proven supervisory skill and experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, quality control, and production management.
Minimum of 2 years construction or trades experience - plastering, troweling, painting, or other application technology preferred.
Experience safely and effectively using hand tools.
Experience with CNC equipment, preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Quality assurance or manufacturing management certifications preferred.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of assembly line operations and basic construction management
Ability to read blueprints and technical designs, and translate to production assembly processes
Ability to take and record accurate measurements
Proven ability to plaster, trowel, paint, or other accurately apply coatings
Knowledge of CNC programming
Ability to safely and effectively use, operate, and maintain hand tools
Problem-solving
Attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in relevant software, including MS Office and SAP

About the Role
As Assistant Showroom Manager, you'll work closely with the Showroom Manager to lead a small, dynamic team, delivering world-class customer service both in-store and online.
You'll be a key player in driving sales, enhancing digital presence, and maintaining the impeccable standards our client base expects.

Summary:

is looking for a Warehouse Associate to assist with Shipping/Receiving of Finished Goods, Tinting of Base Product to Customer Required Color and assisting the Service Center Manager in accomplishing Service Center goals.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 year of Warehouse experience
Must either have a forklift certification or pass forklift certification test.
Must pass a color blindness test.
Physical Requirements:
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Any function may be performed for up to four hours with no breaks.
Operate various warehouse equipment including a forklift, pallet jack, and stock picker.
Essential Functions:
Assist with freight loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving on appropriate trailers.
Assist in warehouse inventory, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing to sales associates for processing.
Read customer orders to determine what needs to be pulled, wrapped, and placed in proper shipping lanes.
According to shipper delivery process.
Receive and stock materials or items according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via the appropriate computer program.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
