JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for managing Customer Service personnel, providing product knowledge training and overseeing product complaints to ensure positive resolution is obtained.
Ensures that staff has all necessary information to provide accurate product information to employees and consumers via various media, verbal and written sources.
Responsibilities
Manage customer service functions
Oversee the timely processing and troubleshooting of orders, invoicing, return goods, credits, and EDI processing.
Manage customer service personnel
Responsible for hiring, mentoring, motivating and evaluating associates.
Conduct staff meetings and develop training programs to enhance efficiency and production levels.
Develop and implement procedures on service enhancement.
Develop and document processes to improve customer satisfaction.
Establish performance metrics.
Interact with all departments
Responsible for interacting with other department to ensure guidelines are followed.
Interact and improve process with other departments as needed.
Requirements
Educational requirement is bachelor's degree. At least 5-7 years customer service experience in a call center setting. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, multitasking is essential. Industry experience and product knowledge a plus. Knowledge of SAP system preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in stressful situations. Detail oriented service and mature attitude when dealing with customers. Working knowledge of office software such as: Microsoft, Lotus Notes

Negotiate approved contracts; review and analyze customer needs and recommend new products or improvements to present products to meet customer requirements. Investigate and analyze market trends and competitors' positions in the market. Arrange for demonstration of products and assist customers and prospective customers to test products; determine customer reaction and suggest modifications to meet their requirements. Coordinate activities with other Marketing and Sales functions and Division functions in connection with product improvement, sales programs, and customer service; establish and maintain close relationships with customers to promote good relations. Communicate with and use all corporate resources (financial, marketing, technical, R & D, Administrative) to achieve regional goals. Make several trips to each assigned territory each year to train sales personnel and make calls with assigned representatives on key accounts and projects. Provide sales information necessary to manage local warehouses & distribution centers. Work closely with other internal regional sales organizations to resolve all internal issues (commissions, account issues, complaints, etc.). Install, commission, service, and maintain plus diagnose, troubleshoot and provide any technical support on Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, batteries, and other critical power equipment in a variety of environments, including data centers, hospitals, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.
Ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications, industry regulations, and customer requirements.

Duties and responsibilities of the: (Field Service UPS Engineer)
Service, test, and repair UPS, batteries, switchgear, and controls.
Perform site surveys, load bank testing, and inspections.
Install and commission UPS and battery systems.
Respond to breakdowns and diagnose faults.
Supervise and train electricians, apprentices, and junior engineers.
Complete reports, action lists, and service records accurately.
Participate in the on-call rota and work flexible hours as needed.
Support internal teams and provide technical guidance.
Identify sales opportunities and report leads.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
Conduct electrical testing and risk assessments.
Attend training to maintain and enhance technical expertise.
Qualifications and requirements for the (Field Service UPS Engineer):
Experience of servicing, maintaining and fault diagnostics on Generators and other critical power equipment
An engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or similar)
Full UK driving license
