GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The General Contracting (GC) Manager oversees and manages all aspects of the General Contracting business (including GC and larger-scale P&R, TremCares, etc.) within the assigned region.

With the RBM, the GC Manager is responsible for the overall profitability and performance of all GC projects in the region(s).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct WTI personnel and work cross-functionally with other Tremco and WTI external and internal departments to maximize efforts and results in sales, compliance, safety, and profitability.
Act as a liaison between headquarters and the field to ensure that effective two-way communication takes place, and that positive results are achieved.
Assess daily operational situations for crisis management, safety, and escalation protocol. Determine solutions to project issues, including but not limited to, field resource management, workload balance, job site conditions, product management issues, etc. Travel to job sites as needed to support account resources (including rooftop projects).
Travel to customer or sales meetings to support business or account activities.
Accountable for regional cost/budget variance & profitability as it relates to General Contracting. Accountable for regional Quality Assurance. Understanding of the subcontractor agreement and corrective notification measures to the subcontractor according to the executed agreement. Ensure Construction Managers are setting project timelines and goals. Identify resource or employee concerns and promptly resolve and engage appropriate HR or WTI management.
Ensure documentation of employee issues is prompt and submitted to HR.
Act as an agent of change and improvement , and adapt quickly to changing business priorities. Manage key metrics and report on a regular basis or as required. Coordinate work with Program Managers, Sales & Service Support, Customer Management (WTI & Tremco Roofing), and Resource Management. Participate in the Preventive and Corrective Action process with responsibility and authority to: Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to service, process, and quality. The Project Engineer / Coordinator will be responsible for delivering a high standard of engineering and service support to project teams.
Executing safe, accurate, on-time delivery of project deliverables for internal and external customers.
You will participate in job risk analysis and continuous improvement programs and assist with preparation of the final project close-out report.
Assist in the development of overall project service plans and associated procedures for projects, ensure compliance with company and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring deliverables to ensure schedule maintenance through, engineering, manufacturing
and supply chain.
- Providing internal and external delivery updates and working to compile communication packs.
- Work with delivery teams, planning and execution, to track progress and drive action where
required to mitigate risk and ensure on time delivery
- Assist engineering teams to evaluate manufacturing readiness, evaluate manufacturing efficiency
and provide input into scheduling of new projects to best position the business for success.
- Work on scheduling of projects, developing best practice for Engineering deliverables through the
product delivery.
- Evaluate ways of working and suggest improvements based on synergies between departments
- Data analysis to help inform business decisions and improvement projects.
Degree in a Technical, Mechanical or Electrical subject preferable.

Our client, a leading Main Contractor working within the fit-out industry are currently recruiting for a Site Manager to work on the delivery of a Retail Refit in Bridport (Dorset) - managing a store refurbishment and refresh within a live environment, working Nights in Bridport.
Working as a No.1 Site Manager on site, you must have experience of running sites as an on-site Manager as a No.1, with previous experience of delivering large fit-out projects in your RECENT work history, reporting to a site-based Project Lead, of which there'll be one on Days & one on Nights.
With experience of site of working for the Main/Principle Contractor, dealing directly with the end user/client, and undertaking all daily tasks including, but not restricted to, managing Health & Safety on site, delivering daily inductions and toolbox talks, ensuring site is running to programme and dealing with any problems as they arise on site.
