JOB DESCRIPTION
DAP is seeking a dynamic and experienced Public Relations Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic PR initiatives that enhance DAP's brand reputation and product visibility.
This role involves managing media relations, creating compelling content, and analyzing media coverage to optimize our communication strategies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective PR strategies aligned with DAP's business goals. Create and execute communication plans for product launches and internal communications. Manage media inquiries, schedule interviews, and maintain strong relationships with media personnel. Craft press releases, listicles, how-to articles, and other relevant content for media distribution. Analyze media coverage and monitor industry trends to inform strategic decision-making. Plan and coordinate media events to enhance brand presence. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop integrated marketing communication plans.
Skills and qualifications
Strong writing and editing skills; experience with social media platforms. Bachelor's degree in media and communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. 3 to 5 years' experience in public relations, with a track record of successful PR campaigns. What will you do?
A penchant for business development, working out of your own office, you'll meet & engage new and repeat customers in your territory; assessing their needs, you will provide a truly consultative Stonhard solution. Customer sales calls include a mix of existing/repeat business along with prospecting for new customers and projects. Closely work with your manager to meet & exceed sales goals. Participate in overseeing the successful delivery of product installation, ensuring optimum customer satisfaction.
Project management responsibilities include ensuring raw materials are on site, construction crews have everything they need and troubleshooting any installation issues that may come up. Full turn-key operation ensures a smooth install and helps secure next project in another area or building. Will participate in an enriching training process spanning over two years, traveling to our headquarters for pre-planned, scheduled training(s).
Base Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
Uncapped Commission potential (First 2 years): approx.
$15,000 - $50,000

The summer intern would work under mentorship of a senior scientist / Supervisor to perform collaborative research for development adhesives or repair products with unique and differentiated properties.
The intern will work on Water-based exterior high-performance sealant development and/or new packaging options for kitchen & bath as well as related performance evaluations. Will involve making batches in mixing equipment and testing properties such as texture, density, viscosity and pH. Test specimen substrates also will be constructed according to ASTM specifications for performance testing of compounded sealants.
