About the role/school
We are looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Stonebridge that is dedicated to fostering both academic excellence and personal growth for children aged 3 to 11.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be part of a nurturing environment that emphasises values such as attitude, consideration, kindness, respect and tenacity.
The school delivers a broad and balanced curriculum covering English, Mathematics, Science, Computing, Geography, History, Music, Art, Physical Education and Religious Education.

Job Responsibilities
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting pupils with special educational needs across the curriculum
Assisting the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences
Providing one-to-one or small-group support where required
Helping create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
Encouraging pupils' emotional, social and academic development
Collaborating with staff and external professionals to meet individual needs
Qualifications/Experience
To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant position, you will need:
Experience supporting children with SEN in a primary setting (preferred)
A patient, empathetic and proactive approach
Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
Right to work in the UK

Foster a supportive, encouraging environment that boosts student confidence and motivation.
Record and report on student engagement and outcomes effectively.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience in tutoring or teaching (primary or secondary level).
Strong understanding of the UK national curriculum.
Experience working with children or young people, including those with SEN/SEMH needs - highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Confident in delivering tuition in Maths, English, and/or Science (other subjects also welcome).
Organised, flexible, and able to work independently.
Requirements
Relevant teaching or tutoring experience (a teaching qualification is desirable but not essential).
Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply before starting).
Access to reliable transport (depending on location/setting of tuition).
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
Ability to work flexibly around your availability.
