JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Construction Management Associate is responsible for assisting the Construction Manager in all aspects associated with a construction-related project.
This will include, but is not limited to, General Contracting projects, larger-scale Contracting Patch and Repair Projects, TremCares, etc.
This will involve working with the Construction Manager, Project Superintendent, or WTI Technician assigned to the project to ensure the project is effectively executed and completed safely and all contractual obligations are adhered to.
Additional duties will include participating in onsite meetings, scope of work development, proposal review, specification review, completion of project schedules, assembling project submittals, obtaining building permits, project closeout documents, and other duties as directed by the Construction Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for contributing to and validating proposals and specifications.
Conceptual Phase (specification development, establishment of milestone dates) Program Planning Phase Design Phase Conduct Pre-Proposal Meetings Proposal Phase Construction Phase Conduct Pre Construction Effective Close-out Cost Estimates and schedules Use of ebuilder for all project documentation per policy manual. Assist the Construction Manager in tracking project costs, budget variances, and profitability. Accountable for Quality Assurance. Ensure the subcontractor has submitted the required documents. Establish timelines and goals. Manage key metrics and report as required. Coordinate with Program Managers, Project Administrators, Project Estimators, Specification Writers, Sales Representatives, and RBM when necessary. Assist in the review of submitted proposals and contractor interviews for specification and contractual compliance. Review of line-item generated proposal documents. Direct Project Superintendents as needed. Competencies: Adaptable, willing to change with business necessity Professional and lead by example Diversity awareness and ability to adjust to multiple personalities Planning and organizational skills.
Able to juggle multiple priorities and demonstrate good task management Excellent customer service skills and ability to build relationships Technical knowledge of all products and services that WTI offers Understanding of Construction Management tasks Superior written, oral, and digital communication skills Able to create performance reporting 24-hour reply response to all inquiries Ability to use and understand Microsoft Office and other software as required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Specification Development Stage: Works with the construction manager and sales representative to establish a project scope. Completion of specification requests and related documents. Responsible for specification review as required by the Construction Manager. Pre-Proposal Stage: Conducts pre-proposal Meetings and distributes completed pre-proposal meeting documentation to all applicable parties. Assist the Construction Manager in reviewing proposals. Prepare Proposal Documents as directed by the Construction Manager. Pre-Construction Stage: Publish the Project Schedule. Assists Construction Manager in planning and coordinating the Pre-Construction Meeting. Engages with the Project Superintendent to provide necessary project information. Conducts Pre-Construction Meetings and distributes completed Pre-Construction Meeting documentation to all applicable parties. Obtain Building Permit when required. Construction Stage: Review Daily Inspection Forms and ensure they are distributed to all applicable parties and uploaded into project files. Visits job site as necessary or directed by the Construction Manager. Conduct weekly Progress Meetings, virtual or onsite, and distribute meeting minutes to all applicable parties.
Maintain Project Schedule and update on a weekly basis. Perform site audits as appropriate. Review subcontractor payment requests with the Construction Manager. Assemble AIA billing applications for the Construction Manager's review and approval. Assist the Construction Manager, Project Superintendent, Subcontractor, Owner, or Sales Representative as needed. Close Out Stage: Assist the Construction Manager in coordinating the final inspection. Ensure all required documents are uploaded into the project files.
OTHER ABILITIES AND SKILLS:

Skillfully prepare estimates by meticulously studying proposals, plans, specifications, and addendums by identifying labor, material, and time requirements. Conduct detailed takeoffs for building envelope repairs, guaranteeing a comprehensive grasp of the project scope. Assemble and present estimates with precision, incorporating numerical and descriptive information. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or CAD drawings. Ability to travel to managed local job sites weekly or as required. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Teams. Familiarity with Project Management Software. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently, follow through on assignments with minimal direction, set priorities that accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities, and perform under deadlines with frequent interruptions. 1-3 years of construction estimation experience. Job Title: Technical Estimator Location: CheltenhamSalary: £35,000-40,000 Position Overview:Detail-oriented and technically skilled Technical Estimator to join a growing, experienced team.
The Technical Estimator will be responsible for producing accurate and timely cost estimates.
This role will be primarily office-based, but the successful candidate will also conduct site surveys across the UK as required.Key Responsibilities:
Estimating & Costing: Prepare detailed cost estimates for smoke ventilation systems, including materials, labour, and equipment, based on project specifications and site conditions.Project Assessment: Review technical drawings, specifications, and requirements to develop accurate project estimates and identify any potential risks or challenges.Site Surveys: Travel to project sites to conduct site surveys and assessments, ensuring all relevant data is captured for accurate quoting.Technical Liaison: Work closely with the sales and project management teams to provide technical expertise and support during the bidding and project execution phases.Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and ensure materials are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively.Documentation: Maintain detailed and organized records of all estimates, site surveys, and related documentation for reference throughout the project lifecycle.Client Communication: Assist in preparing and delivering technical proposals to clients, providing clear and concise explanations of the proposed solutions and cost breakdowns.Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, product developments, and best practices to continually improve the accuracy and efficiency of the estimation process.
Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience in the smoke ventilation industry or a related field (e.g., fire alarms) is highly desirable.Experience in technical estimating, project costing, or a related role.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of smoke ventilation systems, fire alarm systems, or other building safety systems.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential challenges and propose effective solutions.IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with estimation software or tools.Flexibility: Willingness to travel to project sites for surveys and assessments as needed.

- You will undertake the inspection of accident damaged vehicles, assessing the full extent of the damage, costs of repair and time frames.
