You Will Be Responsible For
* Developing drainage strategies, detailed layouts, and designs for foul and surface water networks, including manholes, rising mains, CSOs, storage tanks, and pumping stations.
* Completing hydraulic modelling and pipe sizing, and producing design notes, calculations, and reports.
* Preparing S104 adoption and S106 connection submissions, managing technical responses through to approval.
* Producing coordinated drawings and BIM models, including plans, long sections, details, and schedules.
* Designing attenuation and storage solutions with consideration for safe access, ventilation, and maintenance.
* Specifying installation methods, assessing buildability, and setting temporary works assumptions.
* Running clash detection and coordinating with highways, structural, MEICA/process, and landscape teams.
* Preparing costed options and value-engineering assessments at feasibility and outline stages.
* Supporting construction through RFIs, compliance checks, and as-built updates.
* Contributing to design risk registers, HAZID/ALARP reviews, and QA/QC procedures.
What We Are Looking For
* Previously worked as a Civil Engineer, Drainage Design Engineer, Drainage Engineer, Wastewater Engineer, Wastewater Design Engineer, Infrastructure Design Engineer, Flood risk Engineer or in a similar role.
* At least 3 years of UK wastewater / drainage design experience.
* HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Familiarity with Design & Construction Guidance (DCG), Sewers for Adoption principles, and relevant British Standards (BS EN 752, BS EN 1610, Building Regulations Part H).
* Knowledge of water company standards and developer services processes (S104, S106, S185).
* Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D (or similar for long sections), and InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage or InfoWorks ICM.

Verifies and keeps records on incoming materials compares identifying information and counts, weight, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records. Plan work schedules of warehouse staff for all inbound.

Serve as a resource to investigate and respond to inventory discrepancies.
Work with staff on assignments in response to rapidly changing receiving schedule.
Maintain a safe, clean and orderly area.
Adhere to quality and safety standards. Verify all shipments are recorded and verified the accuracy of the shipment against the paperwork for inbounds.
Use root cause analysis to put in place counter measures to eliminate errors and damage waste. Provide ideas/insights to refine established procedures to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency, improve quality, or reduce cost. Continually work with management on other optimization ideas. Maintain supporting cycle count records.
Compiles information on receipts, usage, and distribution of materials to review transactions. Oversees the storage and warehousing of materials, actively involved in cycle counts plans, adjustments to order quantities.
Plans layout and utilization of warehouse space considers inventory turnover, size weight and related factors od items stored.
Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored. Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities:
Lead and execute our business development and sales strategy
Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company with professionalism and credibility
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
Identify new opportunities in London and the South, especially in the commercial property and surveying sectors
Attend meetings, events, and networking functions to raise the company profile

Requirements & Key Skills:
Proven experience in business development or sales, ideally within construction, property, or professional services
Strong communicator with the ability to build trust, win business, and confidently represent the brand both in person and on platforms like LinkedIn.
Self-starter who takes ownership and drives results, with a proven track record of securing new business through direct outreach and relationship management.
Experience in strategically growing and managing a sales pipeline and client base.
Commercially savvy with a solid understanding of client value, long-term relationships, and navigating the built environment, particularly within surveying and commercial property sectors, though deep roofing knowledge is not essential.
Good understanding of the surveying world in London and the South is highly beneficial.
Confident using CRM systems such as HubSpot.
Takes pride in brand representation and nurturing long-term relationships.
Ideally already known or actively building a presence in commercial surveying or B2B construction sectors.
Who This Role Is NOT For:
Those with a retail or B2C sales background without significant B2B success.
Individuals uncomfortable with LinkedIn, public networking, or brand visibility.

This is a pivotal role leading two busy service-led teams, ensuring performance, service levels and growth are delivered to a high standard.
Business A is a trusted independent mortgage broker based in Burnham, offering face‑to‑face and online advice across the UK, with access to over 900 lenders and expertise in residential, commercial, later‑life and protection products.
Business B is a long‑established independent estate agency, serving Slough, Cippenham, Burnham and Taplow for nearly 20 years, providing sales, lettings, property management and mortgage support.
This role isn't about sector background, it's about transferable leadership skills.

About you
Proven experience in team management, supervision, or operational leadership (any service-led environment considered)

Tech-savvy and open to learning new systems (training provided where needed)
Additional Information
Office-based role, 5 days per week

Multi-site leadership experience is a bonus but not essential
