GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Filler/Packager is responsible to fill product using at least one of the different types of packaging machines.
The operator will organize the area, collect materials such as pails, cans, cartridges or films, and set up the filling and packaging equipment.
Responsibilities include gathering required labels and casing materials.
Production Order card must be read and followed exactly as to correct packaging including labeling of cans and cases, etc.
Operator is responsible to report correct counts of production for the shift and report downtime information.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Neatly assemble and place all required materials from the fill card to be used in their appropriate location throughout the shift. Read and follow filling procedures to package material into cartridges, chubs, or one, two and five-gallon units. Follow and meet the established production schedules. Properly use the filling equipment and maintain cleanliness of the work area following written standard operating procedures. Assist in the waste segregation and recycling program. Communicate written and verbal information between the Foreman and Production Manager. Use appropriate safety equipment and follow established safety regulations. Track progress throughout assigned shift by completing overall equipment effectiveness documents.
EDUCATION:
No high school diploma required.
EXPERIENCE:
No prior experience or training.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Forklift certification preferred, or willing to obtain.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Basic computer skills required (Windows familiarity). LEAN and VFM (Visual Factory Management) skills and/or willingness to train. Role and Responsibility of the Plant Operator
As the Plant Operator, you will be an integral member of the Production Team, working on an Upper-Tier COMAH Site in their Chemical Manufacturing department. You will be working as part of a team on a shift pattern to ensure the day-to-day operations of the plant running smoothly and safely.
Including working under the supervision and direction of the Team Leader to optimise maintenance activities to meet the S&OP requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Control and operation of Steam Stripping Section of the plant.
Safe and reliable operation of the assets to meet sales and Operating Plan requirements ensuring environmental limits are not exceeded.
Preparation for maintenance activities including isolation and decontamination of the plant under the direction of the shift team leader.
Performing housekeeping routines and plant inspections.
Annual Overhaul System - working in a team of plant and contract support personnel to complete the work.
Collection and analysis of in Process, feed and product samples.
Continuously improve assets performance and ensure that the plant is operated and maintained to the optimum so that it is a reliable and cost-effective manufacturing unit.
Essential Criteria of the Plant Operator
A minimum of 3 years' experience of working in a Chemical or Process Manufacturing environment.
An NVQ Level 3 in Plant or Process Operations (or a related Science-based field).
Experience of working on an Upper-Tier COMAH Site as a Process Operator.
Strong working knowledge of SHE Procedures - Safe Systems of Work, Permits to Work and Lock Outs and Tag Outs.
Operational knowledge of Chemical Processes (Gas Chromatography, Separation and Washing).
Forklift Truck License - (Counterbalance).

You will need to live around the Watford Gap area in NN6 or live nearby
Your primary responsibility will involve operating a forklift truck to tip and load single deck or double deck trailers with curtain sides in our pallet hub
Requirements:
Hold a valid FLT Licence

Must have experience of at least 2 years
You will also be:
Guaranteeing the quality of freight loading and trans shipment through the hub to its destination, whether to position it in a bay area or to load it onto a waiting vehicle or stationary trailer.
Conducting regular pre-checks to verify that equipment is fit for operation.
Making sure to report instances of non-compliance/accidents/near misses/abuse/intimidation, etc
To deliver information and to interact with customer vehicle operators, if and when necessary.
Confirm that reports have been created for damaged products, inadequately presented vehicles, site damage, and equipment damage, among others.

Properly transact raw material from inventory utilizing scanners. Relocate material tanks/containers to place of origin. Write off drum heals as required. Perform inventory cycle counts as required. Properly record times, temperatures, and QCT's of batches as required. Comply with all company safety policies. Maintains a clean work environment. Follows all departmental policies. Perform additional duties as assigned. Commit to the Company's safety and quality programs.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must either have forklift certification or have ability to pass forklift certification test. Steel-toed boots, hard hats, and safety glasses (side shields as needed) are required.
A variety of gloves, aprons, respirators, and other PPE are available as needed. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions and safety rules. Ability to use a computer for all company required processes, procedures, and training.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Routinely lifts, carries, and moves raw materials or company products weighing up to 100+ pounds.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Machine Operator starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely.
There are three Machine Operator levels (I, II, & III).
The level will be determined by experience, ability to assume various roles on the plant floor, and demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and problem-solve machine issues resulting in efficient cycles and minimal downtime.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform work in a safe manner by following all written and verbally communicated safety rules and procedures.

Routinely meet or exceed production output rates per standards.
Ensure product meets certain tolerances and specifications.
Perform routine inspections per quality standards.
Understand production instructions.
Maintain accurate paperwork.
Package, label, and store products.
Cross-train on other production functions as business need dictates.
Clean and maintain assigned area to ensure proper functionality.
Report and assist with resolving safety, quality, and mechanical issues.
Participate in the continuous improvement process.
If appropriate, set up and operate various off-line and secondary equipment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: No formal educational requirement. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
No prior work experience or training required. Previous experience operating a machine in a manufacturing environment requiring speed and dexterity is preferred.
