We are seeking experienced Commercial Roofers to join our team.
The skilled Commercial Roofers will be responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and installation of commercial roofing systems.
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
Installation of different types of roofing systems such as BUR, EPDM, Single-ply, coatings, and other forms of low-slope roofing systems
Safe operation of tools of the trade (hand tools, power tools etc.)
Follow OSHA regulations and other regulatory agencies relating to job site safety, demonstrates safe work practices.
Work outside in a wide variety of weather conditions and to meet the physical demands of the position, including mobility needed to complete tasks.
Climbing and operating on ladders, able to handle at least 50 lbs.
Install, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems (flat, metal, TPO, EPDM, etc.).
Apply waterproofing sealants and coatings to roofs, flashings, and other surfaces.
Apply painting of roofing components, trim, or other structural elements as required.
Identify and repair leaks or damaged areas on commercial roofs.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Effective communication with foremen, supervisors, and other WTI and Tremco employees.

JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The General Contracting (GC) Manager oversees and manages all aspects of the General Contracting business (including GC and larger-scale P&R, TremCares, etc.) within the assigned region.
This will involve working with Construction Managers, CM Associates, Project Managers, Service Managers, Supervisors, Foremen, GC Superintendents, Tremco Sales Representatives, Owners, and Subcontractors to ensure projects are performed safely, meet customers' expectations, conform to contractual obligations, and meet financial objectives.
Additional duties will include participating in proposals, specifications, price estimates, schedules, and sales efforts as they affect the region, also responsible for Sales & Service Support, Field Resource & Customer Management communication as necessary.
The GC Manager will create and execute training plans for new CM, CM Associate, and Project Manager positions for new employees.
With the RBM, the GC Manager is responsible for the overall profitability and performance of all GC projects in the region(s).
Abide by all Company policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct WTI personnel and work cross-functionally with other Tremco and WTI external and internal departments to maximize efforts and results in sales, compliance, safety, and profitability.
Act as a liaison between headquarters and the field to ensure that effective two-way communication takes place, and that positive results are achieved.
Assess daily operational situations for crisis management, safety, and escalation protocol. Determine solutions to project issues, including but not limited to, field resource management, workload balance, job site conditions, product management issues, etc. Travel to job sites as needed to support account resources (including rooftop projects).
Travel to customer or sales meetings to support business or account activities.
Accountable for regional cost/budget variance & profitability as it relates to General Contracting. Accountable for regional Quality Assurance. Understanding of the subcontractor agreement and corrective notification measures to the subcontractor according to the executed agreement. Ensure Construction Managers are setting project timelines and goals. Identify resource or employee concerns and promptly resolve and engage appropriate HR or WTI management.
Ensure documentation of employee issues is prompt and submitted to HR.
Act as an agent of change and improvement , and adapt quickly to changing business priorities. Manage key metrics and report on a regular basis or as required. Coordinate work with Program Managers, Sales & Service Support, Customer Management (WTI & Tremco Roofing), and Resource Management. Participate in the Preventive and Corrective Action process with responsibility and authority to: Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to service, process, and quality. Identify and record any service, process, or quality system problems. Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels. Verify the implementation of solutions. Control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming products until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected. GC Manager will have Cost Model approval authority for projects whose Gross Margin for Service exceeds the stated requirements.
Further approvals may be needed. Ensure the region's profitability by effectively managing the team and processes with the available tools. Assist when needed to review proposals received, conduct contractor interviews for specification and contractual compliance.
Approve Proposals for submission (i.e., pricing, specification, scope). Direct Project Manager, technicians, and superintendents. Assist when needed with change order negotiation and approval. Regular communication with the Regional Business Manager regarding: Safety compliance Project approvals, planning, and results. Personnel and process management Any issues related to the above that will require collaboration or elevation of authority. Holding Construction Managers Accountable for the following Metrics: Concept, Planning & Design (Proposals & Specs): # Proposals/Specs being managed # Proposals/Specs reviewed vs.

QC project planned/actual costs as needed to ensure estimates are being updated, as well as start/end dates Competencies: Technical knowledge of all products and services that WTI offers Deep understanding of line items and helping on complex bids to develop line items for projects. Deep understanding of all Construction Management tasks Deep knowledge of Tremco / WTI policies and procedures. Understanding of financial reports Understanding of superintendent roles & responsibilities Understanding of the various Cooperative Purchasing options available in the region. Understanding of State and Local construction code compliance. Understanding of Tremco, WTI, and OSHA safety requirements. Communications: Superior written, verbal, and digital communication skills Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service approach when dealing with sales reps. QUALIFICATIONS:
5-10 years of prior experience in a results-oriented leadership role for a regional, cross-functional team within the building construction industry. Prior experience leading a staff in remote multi-state locations. Experience in an influential role where extraordinary results were achieved through accountability and leading others to achieve and maintain a high performance standard. Prior experience clearly defining expectations, articulating ideas, thoughts, and views, and providing continual, timely, frank, and direct feedback to others. Proven experience with setting strategy and establishing plans for business growth. Prior experience working between multiple departments that support regional compliance and profitability. Must have prior hands-on experience with handling business transactions, procedures, and practices, including but not limited to, pricing, company vehicles, safety, order entry, estimating, general contracting procedures, designation and duties of employees, warranties, quality assurance practices, service offerings, etc.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Can service customers in a compliant and financially solvent manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with Construction Managers and General Contractors to incorporate as many Tremco products as possible on construction projects. Collaborate with key stakeholders' decision makers to develop their building enclosure risk mitigation strategy, based upon the Tremco CPG Construction Quality Control Program and the Enclosure Commissioning Process which includes but is not limited to: Review drawings and details, provide specification assistance, assess constructability reviews, attend pre-construction and pre-installation meetings, prepare performance mockups, conduct site audits, and attend field testing. Work collaboratively with the local Technical Sales Representatives on all Construction QC Program Projects and all Enclosure Design Solutions Services.
Synergize with the local representatives to ensure the installing contractor bid all Tremco products as the basis of design for any given project. Support sales teams to win or flip non-Construction QC Program Projects by aiding with design, specification or constructability reviews, assess detail solutions at transitions, and deliver Tremco CPG presentations, as necessary.
Work with Architects and Consultants to ensure specifications and details are constructible and when possible, make Tremco CPG Companies the Basis of Design.
Provide product recommendations for the enclosure design. Conduct design review and specification review for all building enclosure design. Collaborate with the Owner's 3rd Party Consultant or Building Enclosure Commissioning Provider. Work with the design team to provide project specific transition details support. Work with Owners, Architects and Consultants to provide specifications for building enclosure performance warranties provided by Tremco CPG. Work with construction teams to flip non-Tremco CPG Projects into incorporating multiple Tremco CPG Companies products onto their projects. Collaborate with other Tremco CPG Companies' team members to continually improve upon the Enclosure Design Solutions Services and Construction Quality Control Program and promote products within the Tremco CPG Companies. Work with the Regional and local Tremco CPG Company Technical Sales Reps on projects developed under the Construction Quality Control Program. Work with the appropriate Tremco CPG Brand Partners in transitioning new construction projects to Tremco's six-sided Asset Management Program. Collaborate and work with the Building Enclosure Science Team, the Sustainable Test Facility, and the Tremco CPG Company Technical Reps. Use SalesForce to track and communicate their projects information among team members. Present at the Local and National level to architects, construction managers, consultants, and industry organizations.
EDUCATION
Minimum HS Diploma or GED with 5 years' experience in a laboratory environment OR Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, General Science or similar with no experience.
EXPERIENCE
Two to four years related experience and/or training Construction knowledge (i.e., waterproofing, air barriers, framing, modular, glazing etc.) Basic knowledge of product chemistries
