Quality Assurance (QA) Operative - Night Shift
Rochester | Monday to Thursday 6pm - 6am | £30,000 - £31,000pa
KHR is partnering with a distinguished manufacturer who is on the hunt for a highly efficient and hands-on quality assurance professional looking for an exciting QA role.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in the food manufacturing industry who has hands-on practical experience and a keen eye for detail.
Position Overview
As the QA Operative, you will be responsible for conducting thorough quality inspection checks on products, ensuring they meet the required specifications.
You will work closely with the Production team to resolve any quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive a strong food safety and quality culture within the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
- Report and quarantine non-conformances, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
- Support continuous improvement, right-first-time performance, and waste reduction.
- Calibrate equipment and maintain up-to-date calibration records.
- Swab and release equipment post-cleaning for production use.
- Perform positive release of finished goods to verify quality standards.
- Accurately complete all documentation and maintain traceability.
- Log and investigate foreign body rejections.
- Conduct internal audits, report findings, and implement corrective measures.
- Assist with shelf-life testing and microbiological sampling.
- Uphold the Quality Management System, promoting food safety and quality culture.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and internal procedures.

- Be computer literate

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Building Envelope Field Estimator will evaluate existing building envelope conditions based on visual and documented areas of deficiencies, develop a scope of work to remedy identified deficiencies, and develop budgets, estimates, and or proposals associated with building envelope repairs.
This role is responsible for converting bid documents to construction documents and communicating job scope and expectations to the field site foreman, both verbal and written.

Attend pre-bids and develop photo documentation and field dimension records.

Dismantle end-of-life vehicles in a controlled and safe manner
Identify, remove, and record components suitable for reuse
Clean, assess, and refurbish assemblies such as 5th wheels, radiator packs, pipework, brackets, and hydraulic items
Accurately log dismantled components into the internal stock system
Support diagnosis of component condition and suitability for reuse
Use lifting gear, hand tools, and workshop equipment correctly and safely
Assist with workshop repairs, rebuilds, and project tasks when needed
Suggest improvements to dismantling and refurbishment processes

We're working with a long-established and highly respected business that has been a leader in its field for nearly 30 years.
With its own design and manufacturing capability and a strong global distribution network, the company has ambitious growth plans and is now looking for a Head of Sales to drive its next stage of expansion.
This role would suit an experienced Senior Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, or existing Head of Sales who is ready to step into a senior leadership role with real influence.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will initially split your time between hands-on business development and sales leadership.
This structure is designed to help you gain a deep understanding of the sales process, products, systems, and customer base before transitioning fully into a strategic Head of Sales position.
The Role:
Managing the full sales cycle, from lead generation through to closing.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with partners, dealerships, and distribution channels.
Identifying opportunities to increase market share and presenting tailored solutions.
Leading, coaching, and mentoring a team of Business Development Managers.
Setting targets, reviewing performance, and driving accountability.
Developing and executing sales strategies to achieve ambitious revenue growth.

You:
Proven success in phone-based, desk-based, or telesales, ideally in a high-volume environment.

Comfortable working in an SME environment and directly with a Managing Director.
