Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for a high volume caseload of Fast Track Personal Injury RTA claims, making use of the firms Case Management Systems and using the agreed internal procedures and practices.
- To progress your caseload in a manner to ensure that clients receive appropriate, professional, timely and pertinent legal advice, with regular contact, whilst managing their expectations.
- To deal with cases with denial of liability and causation arguments with minimal supervision.

- To identify early those cases where proceedings would be tactically beneficial to litigate and to do so expeditiously.
- Take a practical but commercial approach to settlements and advising clients as to litigation/cost risks.
- To achieve and exceed various targets set in relation to, for example, profit costs and issuing, without compromising the firms integrity.
- To liaise appropriately and timely with sources, medical agencies, experts, third party insurers and other relevant parties to ensure that cases are pro-actively progressed.
- To attend, where appropriate, court hearings to make representations in respect of the claim before the judiciary.
Where necessary, and in accordance with the firms internal policies and procedures, to instruct Barristers to represent clients at hearings and obtain formal Advice over issues of quantum and liability.

Experience and Knowledge
- Substantial experience of managing your own caseload of Fast Track RTA litigated claims.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Proactively and efficiently run a caseload that will consist of OIC and MOJ RTA claims with the intention of maximising damagers for our client by considering and pursuing all relevant heads of loss.
- To identify and flag vulnerable clients from the outset and flag any vulnerability on the system, accurately record why those vulnerabilities have required extra time, care, and attention when you speak to the client.
- To obtain all relevant and necessary evidence (medical or otherwise) to establish liability and value quantum ensuring that you follow departmental practice of which agency to instruct.
- To carry out due diligence of your clients at key stages in the case and ensure clients are fully warned about fraud and fundamental dishonesty at key stages using standard letters and processes in our system.
- Instruct Counsel, attend conferences, Court hearings, JSMs etc, when necessary either in person or remotely
- To ensure clear and unequivocal instructions are obtained from any relevant lay and/or Litigation Friend and/or insurance clients and that they are fully documented.
- Achieve and exceed various targets set in relation to WIP, fee income, settlements, closure and issuing.
- To ensure clients are kept informed and up to date on a regular basis throughout the life of the claim by proactive communication.
- To ensure that correct retainers and rates are sent to the client, that costs estimates are updated annually, and retainer rates reviewed regularly.
- To ensure that all evidence is closely scrutinised and stressed checked and cross referenced to all other evidence of both the Claimant and Defendant for inconsistencies.
- Discuss liability and/or quantum offers with the relevant parties, making use of the telephone rather than letter whenever possible to build a stronger client rapport.
- To assist with any internal projections or mentoring of staff that your manager or HOD deems appropriate for you to assist with.
Experience & Knowledge
- A Solicitor, ILEX qualified or file handler of substantial experience of running their own caseload within the personal injury field.
- A proven track record of running your own successful caseload ideally within a claimant personal injury environment.
- A good working knowledge of the CPR, relevant case law and legislation as well as experience of progressing claims in a timely manner in accordance with the CPR.
- To understand the Intermediate Track Fixed Fee regime introduced in October 2023.
- The ability to liaise and build up a rapport by using effective communication with all external agencies during the life of a claim including medical agencies, investigators, barristers etc.

My client excited to be recruiting for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join a well-established and forward-thinking law firm, based either in Liverpool or Bolton.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and ambitious solicitor who is committed to delivering exceptional client service and achieving outstanding results.
About the Role:
You will manage your own caseload from day one, supported with appropriate supervision and training.
The role involves providing high-quality legal advice to clients, navigating complex liability disputes, quantifying damages, securing interim payments, and arranging rehabilitation and support packages where needed.
Youll be part of a dedicated and supportive team whose focus is on winning cases and enhancing the quality of life for clients.
About You:
- Qualified Solicitor (NQ to 10 years PQE) with a background in Clinical/Medical Negligence.
- Highly organised, motivated, and commercially aware.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively as well as independently under deadlines.
- A proactive approach to case management and client care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Committed to obtaining the best outcomes for clients and the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking detailed instructions and investigating liability and quantum.
- Advising clients on funding options.
- Attending conferences, meetings, and court hearings where necessary.
- Conducting regular file reviews and assessing litigation risk.
- Drafting schedules of loss and quantifying claims at an early stage.
- Maintaining regular client contact, providing professional and friendly updates.
- Negotiating effectively with third parties to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Upholding confidentiality and maintaining high standards of client care.

About the role
Within this Property Litigation Solicitor role, you will be joining a well-established and supportive team to work on your own caseload of matters including:
Leasehold disputes
Dilapidations
Restrictive covenants
Agricultural and farming disputes
Nuisance claims
As well as this, you will be contributing to the overall department growth by building your own loyal client base, taking part in Business Development Initiatives, supporting the Heads of Departments and Partners with their work and supervising more junior members of the team by providing mentoring.
About You
