Trainee Workshop Technicians
Salary: £24K-26K Dependent on experience + Benefits
8-5 Monday to Thursday, & Friday 8 - 4.30 pm, and every other Friday 12.30 pm Finish.

Basic duties will include:
- Repair and servicing of electronic devices, including bar code readers, PPS (point of sale) devices, as well as monitors and computers, and chip and pin (payment) devices
- Managing spare parts usage using our IT database system
- Testing units to meet with quality control procedures
- Co-operation with logistics and production support departments
Candidate requirements:
- Broadly understood knowledge in the field of electronics, the basics of building computers and electronic devices
- Basic knowledge of computer science
- An additional advantage will be an education in electronics / electrotechnics and experience in electronics repairs and maintenance
Personal Skills
- Candidates must demonstrate an aptitude for working with small hand tools/soldering, etc.
and have an eye for detail
- Must have the ability to work to deadlines and achieve high-quality standards
- Competent with working alone on computers, including using specialist manufacturers
calibration programs (training provided)
- Knowledge of taking apart and working with computers, mobiles or electrical devices.

Make modifications to equipment to optimize performance.
Coordinate fabrication of fixtures and shop aids.
Ensure that manufacturing systems meet health, safety, and environmental management requirements.

This level requires knowledge and competent demonstration of the following within 6 (six) months of hire:

Solid problem-solving skills including equipment breakdown, performing repairs and installation.
Previous welding experience preferred.This level requires the following certifications:
LOTO certified, Forklift certified, Fall protection certificationThe Production Maintenance Technician II performs broader range of duties, proven skillset to fully perform PMT responsibilities, more technically complex tasks, expected to set an example of professional efficiency, and provide technical direction to less experienced staff.
