Job Summary:
In addition to their regular operator duties, the Team Lead provides leadership towards the achievement of department goals and objectives.
Responsibilities will include training staff in production methods, safety policies and procedures and the identification and correction of potential work limitations in the manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Setting up different products on the computer system for proper running; adjusting equipment for proper running ability. Paper changes - thread bagging paper correctly and adjust for proper running. Daily production sheets (filling out form) Provide fiber for products that are currently running. Provide boxes and correct labeling on boxes. Stacking boxes on empty pallets to make full pallets. Moving Full Pallets using a forklift.
Assisting the Supervisor in setting priorities for their department Interact with and support the Supervisor toward the accomplishment of department goals.
Assist in identifying training needs and communicating identified areas of need to the Supervisor for resolution.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Experience serving as an operator Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Supports and validates the work of machine operators by answering questions, preparing production lines, and providing general direction
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: No formal education requirement
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: 4+ years' experience

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Machine Operator (3rd Shift) starts, troubleshoots, and operates manufacturing equipment safely.
There are three Machine Operator levels (I, II, & III).
The level will be determined by experience, ability to assume various roles on the plant floor, and demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot and problem-solve machine issues resulting in efficient cycles and minimal downtime.

Routinely meet or exceed production output rates per standards.
Ensure product meets certain tolerances and specifications.
Perform routine inspections per quality standards.
Understand production instructions.

Cross-train on other production functions as business need dictates.
Clean and maintain assigned area to ensure proper functionality.
Report and assist with resolving safety, quality, and mechanical issues.
Participate in the continuous improvement process.
If appropriate, set up and operate various off-line and secondary equipment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: No formal educational requirement. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
No prior work experience or training required. Previous experience operating a machine in a manufacturing environment requiring speed and dexterity is preferred.

Complete daily review of our performance in shipping, receiving and replenishment to ensure that customer orders are leaving on a timely basis and required unit and line-item fill rates are being attained.
Plan for adequate manpower against current and future shipping days and implement new process if needed, while continuing to review and revise old processes with management team and associates.
Utilize WMS to manage warehouse operations and analyze performance data.
Responds to inquiries regarding shipment status.
Serves as a liaison between Customer Service, Warehouse and Production departments to ensure product availability and priorities.
Cost
Prepare, manage and maintain distribution center budget through reduction of non-value-added activities and increasing efficiencies of current processes.
Manage department budget daily, determining spending priorities with VP of Operations and insuring goals and objectives are being met.
Evaluate current spending to determine areas to reduce costs, streamline expenses to maximize value to operation and still maintain customer service.
Utilize the MS 168 process to provide process improvements and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
7 to 10 years of experience in the relevant field
Working knowledge of RF warehouse management system
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel software applications
Strong leadership and management skills and experience
Excellent communication skills
Inventory Control and warehouse management systems experience
Must be bilingual in Spanish.

The Plant Custodian cleans and maintains appearance of the plant and parking lots at both Large and Small Batch manufacturing sites and parking lots.

Turn in job assignment sheet daily. Must properly wear personal protective equipment as required for the task being performed. Follow all departmental and plant safety rules and requirements.
