Due to the growth of a medical devices company based in Cambridge, there is need for a new Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance Assistant to work with and support the company's Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Manager.
The team provide quality assurance and regulatory affairs advise on the creation of new products and the improvement of existing technologies.
It would be highly advantageous if you have knowledge of design processes, but it's not essential.
This team does not just fill out quality assurance and regulatory documents; this is a team where they will be very involved with the R&D team, providing vital advice on the creation of medical devices, and ensuring the team operates within the FDA 510k, ISO 13485, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 standards.
It would be ideal if you have both quality assurance and regulatory affairs knowledge.
However, people have moved into this role from either regulatory affairs or quality assurance background, but with a general knowledge in the other side.
It is essential that you have medical devices knowledge, especially ISO 13485 and FDA 510k knowledge.
Although writing submissions will not be a major part of your role, you will relay information to the teams responsible for this, so ideally you will have done this in the past or at least assisted.
Ideally, you will have QMS experience.
If you do have this knowledge, I would advise making it clear on your CV as this is highly desirable in this role.

Teaching Assistant required to support within a Residential SEN School based near Thatcham in West Berkshire.
This is an exciting position which subject to compliance offers an immediate start.
Due to the nature of the role, it is a Temporary ongoing role with no set end date.
This position is mainly classroom based , working on a 1:1 basis with a Young person.
Experience working within a SEN Environment, is preferred, also someone who has experience with Autism, Epilepsy and Personal care.

Monday - Friday 8:30am - 16:00

Duties:
As a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting students aged 16years - 17 years with Complex Autism in a classroom environment
Support SEN Teacher with classroom duties
Working on a 1:1 basis with a Young person
Supporting with personal care
Supporting the young person with any medical needs
Requirements:
The ideal Teaching Assistant will have experience working with young people with Autism
Have patience
Promote independence
Experience with Epilepsy
Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the update service
Driver desirable due to the location (no public transport)
Rate:
£13.00 + holiday pay PAYE or £16.50 Umbrella

Key Responsibilities
Administration of instructions and cases using Chambers Management software, including: setting up case files; recording terms of engagement and charge out rates; logging work done; fixing hearing dates; planning meetings; and invoicing work done.
The regular collection and processing of barristers' timesheets onto the Chambers Management software within established time guidelines; and regular monitoring and updating of missing time/fee items onto the system (training to be given).
Assisting barristers with the effective administrative management of their practices, including, for example, arranging travel/hotels; forwarding post; photocopying/printing papers.
Communicating between clients and barristers, in relation to all aspects of barristers' work, to ensure a high quality of service.
Liaising on behalf of barristers, with the Courts, Judges and opposing legal teams where appropriate.
Promoting barristers and selling their legal, advisory and advocacy services to clients, who are mainly solicitors and other professionals.
Allocating and matching new clients and work opportunities with the most suitable barrister.
Negotiating fees for barristers and assisting with the collection of barristers' fees.
Attendance at Chambers' and clients' marketing and business development functions, where appropriate.
Liaison with barristers to understand their unique selling points, desired cases and capacity for new work.
Skills & Experience
Educated to degree level, including English and Maths GCSE minimum grade 5 or equivalent
A keen interest in working in the legal sector (whether in the short-term or longer term)
Well presented, conscientious and reliable
Excellent organisational skills
Eye for detail and ability to work to a high level of accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent telephone manner
Strong numeracy skills
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment, managing multiple demands and prioritising workload effectively
Strong IT skills with experience of O365
Discreet and able to handle confidential information

The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated RTA Litigation Assistant to join a leading national law firm, supporting the management of Fast Track and MOJ Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims with a particular focus on motorbike, moped, push bike, and e-scooter accidents.
Working under supervision within a highly skilled litigation team, you will play a key supporting role in progressing cases efficiently, ensuring exceptional client outcomes, and contributing to the overall success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the management of a caseload of MOJ (Part 8) and Part 7 RTA claims.
- Assist in assessing liability and quantum, including reviewing medical reports, drafting schedules of special damages, and researching relevant case law.
- Help identify cases suitable for litigation and support their progression through the court process.
- Adopt a commercial approach to settlement negotiations and advise clients on litigation and cost risks.
- Liaise with clients, medical agencies, experts, third-party insurers, and other stakeholders to ensure cases progress efficiently.
- Support the instruction of Barristers and preparation for court hearings when required.
