Key Responsibilities:
- Handling a caseload of Personal Injury claims, with supervision, from inception through litigation.
- Drafting particulars for service, preparing schedules of loss, instructing counsel, and analysing reports.
- Providing client advice, managing risk assessments, and handling initial client inception.
- Advancing cases to achieve the best possible outcomes, utilizing civil procedure rules and litigation trends.
Personal Specification:
- At least 6 months of experience in Personal Injury law.
- Exceptional client care and quality control skills.
- Experience in managing a litigated caseload and drafting legal documents (witness statements, quantum evidence, etc.).
- Knowledge of Proclaim case management system is a plus.

My client is looking for a Personal Injury specialist to manage their Occupiers and Public Liability portal team.
You will be an experienced team leader, with a passion for training and developing a team which provides an outstanding client service.
The role requires a confident, effective communicator with the ability to build and nurture relationships.
You will be required to take full ownership of your team, with a focus on quality, efficiency, and risk management.

Responsibilities:
Supervising a team of 10-15 Portal Litigation Executives
Overseeing in excess of 1,500 claims.
Training and career development of the team.
Accessing claims, liability, and quantum
Provide technical help and support when required.
Overseeing the daily team activities, optimising resources, and ensuring quality service delivery
Allocate work effectively and monitor team productivity to meet targets and deadlines.
Conduct one-to-ones and performance reviews and ensure all team members have clear objectives.
Organise training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure team members are fully equipped to perform their roles.

Person Specification:
A qualified Solicitor/Legal Executive (CILEX) or qualified by experience.
Experience of managing a Claimant Personal Injury portal caseload, ideally Occupiers Liability and Public Liability claims from inception to conclusion.
Previous experience of supervising large teams of paralegals
Ensuring productivity and tasks are prioritised effectively.
Working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and good knowledge of the relevant Pre-Action Protocols
Experienced at dealing with client queries and complaints.
The ability to deal with clients and third parties in a professional and competent manner is essential.
Strong organisational, leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage team productivity and prioritise tasks effectively.
Acute attention to detail and experience in a process-driven environment
Strong administrative and analytical skills with the ability to handle sensitive information.
Sound letter writing and document drafting skills.
IT proficiency, ideally experience of working on a case management system.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
A basic salary of £40,000-£50.000? with the opportunity to earn a team bonus?
Standard working hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8:30am to 5pm Friday.

The role:
The successful applicant will handle a caseload of pre and post-litigated claims brought primarily under Sections 9a and 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985.

The successful applicant:
Our team structure means that we can support applicants with varying degrees of prior experience and have successfully supported several staff who have re-trained from fast paced litigation backgrounds such as personal injury.
Successful candidates will be confident communicators with a high level of written and verbal skills and good attention to detail.
You must be well organised and able to work in a busy environment with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight timescales.
It is preferable that candidates be educated to degree level, and those applying for more senior fee earning roles may possess FILEX, ILEX qualifications or similar experience.
Experience:
- Housing Disrepair experience essential, we would also consider applicants with significant (10 years plus) contentious civil litigation experience

Calendar and Schedule Management
Maintain and update the Chief Operating Officer's calendar, prioritising and scheduling meetings, appointments, and engagements.
Proactively resolve scheduling conflicts and anticipate time management needs.
Coordinate and confirm travel itineraries, accommodations, and transportation logistics.
Document Preparation and Record Management
Draft, proofread, and finalise reports, memos, and other corporate documents.
Manage and organise digital and physical files, ensuring accessibility and compliance with company standards.
Taking dictation and editing documents in a live scenario.
Assisting with the preparation / drafting of multiple document formats, including within the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
The editing and creation of visual material, for example the formatting of images or creation of diagrams, flow charts etc.
utilising online or other programs or apps.
Event Planning and Coordination
Organise and execute company events, conferences, and team-building activities.
Liaise with vendors, venues, and service providers to ensure seamless event execution.
Office Operations and Communication
Act as a liaison between the Chief Operating Officer and staff, fostering clear communication and teamwork.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
Project Management
Assist in managing key projects, tracking deadlines, and ensuring deliverables are met.
Coordinate across teams to ensure alignment on priorities and objectives.
Key Competencies, Skills & Requirements
Demonstrable experience as EA, PA, Assistant to C-Suite, Office Manager or similar.
Background within the creative field - Architecture, Interiors, Graphic Design, etc.
In-depth understanding of administrative processes, project management, and office systems.
Highly organised with ability to manage complex schedules, projects and key documentation.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to take diction and edit documents in a live scenario.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and communication tools.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite/InDesign, very beneficial.
Ability to adapt to and learn new visualisation software, which might include the formatting of images or creation of diagrams, flow charts as an example.
