Technical Sales Representative - Boston, MA
JOB DESCRIPTION Ensures that the assigned revenue, margin and product mix objectives, within the corporate business framework, are met or exceeded. This is to be accomplished by securing, developing, and managing key architects, designers, general contractors, distributors, subcontractors, and end-user accounts. This position will also own and manage all related performance and service metrics for the assigned accounts for New York and Pennsylvania. This position is in the Tremco Commercial Sealants and Waterproofing Division covering the New England States. You must live and be available to travel within the territory daily. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Achieves or exceeds assigned sales goals and expectations. Works primarily with existing accounts, while seeking and developing new account opportunities to influence and increase use of Tremco CPG products in assigned territory. Commercial Roofing Field Resources Supervisor
JOB DESCRIPTION The WTI Field Resources Supervisor is responsible for the timely delivery of services, profitability, and all employee management and training within the region. Duties/Responsibilities, Core Knowledge: Coordinate staffing and scheduling of all WTI Field Reps in his/her respective region to ensure proper utilization of manpower on specific jobs for highest profitability. Collaborate with other Field Supervisors as necessary. Oversee the Quality Control (QC) process of all WTI Field Reps in the region, which will include random site visits to previous and current job sites, proper documentation to ensure that all work was completed properly and that the customer is fully satisfied. Ensure profitability within the region by monitoring and managing employee expenses for accuracy and abuse, use of overtime hours, and all full-time personnel's billable time to meet required percentage. The Supervisor should stress the profitability factor to all field personnel. Weekly communication with Sales Managers is required. The Supervisor will field all questions/concerns from the WTI Field Reps and will handle all discrepancies between the WTI Field Reps and the Sales Force. Conduct and foster professional and timely communication (via email, voicemail, in person) with the customers, sales reps, field staff, and internal company personnel on all work-related matters. The Supervisor will also be the main contact for the office personnel if there are any problems concerning a WTI Field Rep. Ensure that all WTI Field Reps will have a professional appearance and demeanor while completing services for a customer. Conduct training (both hands-on field training and classroom style) for Field Reps, according to WTI Training Policy, to include: Proper completion of all services and related paperwork. Safety training and training documentation for all Field Reps within the region. Approval/certification of each Field Rep including: OSHA Hazard Awareness, ToolBox Talks, etc. Provide training of new contractors on the proper application of Tremco Rood Systems. Demonstrate working knowledge of all services provided. The Technical Sales Representative ensures that the assigned revenue, margin and product mix objectives, within the corporate business framework, are met or exceeded. This is to be accomplished by securing, developing, and managing key architects, designers, general contractors, distributors, subcontractors, and end-user accounts. This position will also own and manage all related performance and service metrics for the assigned accounts in the New York territory. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Achieves or exceeds assigned sales goals and expectations. Works primarily with existing accounts, while seeking and developing new account opportunities to influence and increase use of Tremco CPG products in assigned territory. Manages assigned accounts to establish business development opportunities through account penetration, analysis, partnership with key decision makers, and strategic initiatives. Drives product specifications and project opportunities throughout assigned territory. Leverages industry knowledge, marketplace dynamics and key relationships both internally and externally to develop trusted partnerships and advisory relationships with customers with a focus on problem identification, exploration and resolution. Annually prepares and delivers strategic business/territory plans for each customer with monthly forecasts. Consistently and efficiently follows the standard sales process to identify prospects and decision makers, gain customer commitment, predict sales probability, and effectively close deals. Manages day-to-day contact, exchanges information succinctly, truthfully and ethically while addressing issues directly and tactfully in pursuit of mutual interest and benefit. Develops and delivers technical, high quality and directed digital collateral, product prospectus, presentations, and business correspondence in support of the overall sales process. Collaborates with senior staff to coordinate and execute product knowledge training sessions with internal and external customers, as appropriate, utilizing supplier representatives. Leverages all available technology on a daily basis for productivity and effective lead generation, account maintenance, sales and expense tracking, forecasting, account reviews, customer contact, presentations, etc. Works collaboratively with internal support resources to develop teamwork through cooperation, trust and mutual respect. Attends and presents business unit products and services at industry conventions and trade shows. Maintains extensive product knowledge in all product lines and service offerings. Adheres to and enforces all company policies, pricing, and operational procedures with special attention to the professional image of the company. Performs other related duties as required, requested or assigned. EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Construction Management and 2-3 years of construction or industry experience OR Minimum High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of construction or industry experience EXPERIENCE Four to ten years of related experience and/or training in the construction industry. A minimum of two years of customer service experience is preferred Construction knowledge (i.e., waterproofing, air barriers, framing, modular, etc.) Assembly line related product segments Basic knowledge of product chemistries Insulated Concrete Forms knowledge/experience a plus OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to travel extensivelywithin assigned territory. Must be well organized,self-motivated, with outstandingwritten and verbalcommunication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Salesforce.com or other CRM software experience preferred Possess a professional curiosity to figure out how things work or are put together Ability to retain knowledge and training Proven ability to understand, use, and manage your own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and diffuse conflict.
