We are currently recruiting for a team of experienced Slingers and a Slinging Supervisor to support a major dry docking period on HMS Queen Elizabeth, starting in September 2025 and running through February 2026.
The project will take place at Rosyth Dockyard, working 12-hour shifts on either days or nights.
Key Responsibilities for the Slingers & Supervisor:
•Perform slinging and lifting duties in line with lifting plans and safety standards
•Ensure all loads are secured and moved safely using cranes and lifting equipment
•Support various marine and engineering work packages during the docking project
•Carry out toolbox talks, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with HSE procedures (Supervisor)
•Coordinate lifting activities and team deployment (Supervisor role only)
•Work closely with rigging teams, crane operators, and other marine disciplines
•Maintain accurate records and communication with site management (Supervisor)
Essential Skills & Qualifications of the Slingers & Supervisor:
•Valid Slinger/Signaller certification (NPORS, CPCS, or equivalent)
•Previous experience in shipbuilding, naval refit, or heavy industrial lifting operations
•Strong understanding of lifting operations and safe working practices
•Supervisor candidates must have previous experience leading a slinging team on similar high-profile projects
•Ability to work effectively on 12-hour shifts in a high-security environment
•Must be eligible to work in the UK and willing to undergo MOD clearance where required

Evaluate all internal processes related to state and federal public works projects to determine whether information accurately flows from project setup through business operations to allow timely employee paychecks and certified payroll creation. Determine which WTI projects are subject to state prevailing wage requirements through online research, written procedures from various jurisdictions, and legal and consulting support. Identify whether state and federal public works projects are set up by administrative staff with accurate wage determinations, including straight time, overtime, and holiday time rates and calculations. Understand and help implement travel and subsistence calculations for all applicable jurisdictions. Manage compliance with apprenticeship programs for state, local, DBA, and SCA jurisdictions and assist the Training and Development Department with in-house apprenticeship program efforts. Understand, implement, and update accurate fringe benefit calculations, including amortization and offsets, as required by jurisdictions that require such calculations. Ensure that subcontractors, when retained, agree to approved contracts that possess prevailing wage, DBA, and SCA compliance language. Technical Application Specialist
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Technical Application Specialist ensures proper application of Tremco products in accordance with company and industry guidelines by providing both on-site and office-based problem resolution assistance.
This individual is a technical liaison between the business and Tremco's field-based internal and external stakeholders.

Provide or obtain accurate and timely answers to inquiries on product usage, comparative competitive products, web-site navigation, product specifications, repair techniques, assessment and/or remedial course of action recommendations for jobsite problems, environmental regulations, construction sequencing, and technical product property questions.
Ensure product performance through proper recommendation of jobsite qualification and application techniques.
Possess and leverage a basic knowledge of Tremco's product portfolio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop AIA MasterFormat specifications that comply with Tremco requirements, purchasing agreements, local building codes, and industry standards (NRCA, SPRI, Factory Mutual, etc.).
Develop specifications in compliance with IBC, IECC, and Tremco-specific requirements & standards
Develop specifications based on individual project Scopes of Work, using expertise, experience, and best practices to select appropriate items.
Assist Estimators in understanding specifications for bid preparation and pricing.
Calculate wind-uplift design pressures based on project specifics.
Understand and apply 3rd party test reports for Tremco systems for specifications
Identify and resolve service, process, or quality system problems; ensure proper resolution implementation.
Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the specification development process.
Stay updated with compliance policies to ensure specifications and drawings align with contract agreements.

Technical Application Specialist
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Technical Application Specialist ensures proper application of Tremco products in accordance with company and industry guidelines by providing both on-site and office-based problem resolution assistance.
This individual is a technical liaison between the business and Tremco's field-based internal and external stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide or obtain accurate and timely product application, qualification, and/or troubleshooting services to internal colleagues and external business partners
Assist with general on-site product application, training, and general substrate review.
Assist with the generation and maintenance of technical documentation and collateral with various internal departments.
Examples include application instructions, technical data sheets, technical marketing collateral, product training programs, 3rd party testing/validation reports, and other product assets.
Assist in the collection of laboratory data forproject and/or product-specific testing.
Assist with and/or perform in-field and in-house analytical lab testing to confirm the chemical compatibility and physical adhesion properties of Tremco products on specified jobs, for evaluating new areas of application, new product development, and competitive product analysis.
Conduct jobsite observations/evaluations with customers and field sales reps to make accurate and timely product and installation recommendations.
Compose official letters and/or corporate communiques, including installation instructions, job qualification parameters, and competitive product comparisons along with assisting in the development of detail drawings to help secure sales opportunities.
Provide or obtain accurate and timely answers to inquiries on product usage, comparative competitive products, web-site navigation, product specifications, repair techniques, assessment and/or remedial course of action recommendations for jobsite problems, environmental regulations, construction sequencing, and technical product property questions.
Ensure product performance through proper recommendation of jobsite qualification and application techniques.
Possess and leverage a basic knowledge of Tremco's product portfolio.
Learn assigned core product line technology while assisting higher level Application Specialists with occasional direction.
Provide clear written and verbal technical support and product recommendations to internal and external stakeholders including sales representatives, technical representatives, owners, architects, engineers, contractors, installers, etc.

Main Objectives of Job
To provide a comprehensive library services at HMP Brixton, ensuring that the highest standards of customer care are maintained and guaranteeing prisoners are not socially excluded from the benefits of the library service.

Main Accountabilities
Responsible for the day to day running of all library provision within HMP Brixton.
