Production Lead Technician

Holt Engineering are currently working with a close knit family run manufacturing company based in Winchester. Who are currently looking for a Production Lead Technician to work alongside the Production team leader and operating machinery to high standards. The Production Lead Technician is paying £30,000 per Annum. Working Monday to Friday 7:30am-4pm with other occasional shift cover when required. Duties for the Production Lead Technician: - Operate plant and equipment to mix, manufacture, transfer, and pack product. - Packaging of finished products to company standards - Handling / manufacturing products and raw materials  - Use of manual handling equipment available for moving heavy materials  - Maintain high levels of hygiene and housekeeping - Ensure that when products are transferred to other Departments, they are in a suitable “fit for purpose” condition that meets the customer’s expectations. - Provide and deliver training to technicians as required - Liaising with the Production Team Leaders, reporting on progress, informing of issues - Keeping the Production Team Leaders aware of any shortfalls on raw materials to meet the plan and fully utilise the production equipment - Provide Team Leader cover at Team Tier 1 meetings and at the 08.30 production review meeting. - Provide Shift Cover as and when required – a 10% shift allowance will be payable To be a Successful Production Lead Technician: - Numerate and literate - Operate basic processes and equipment - A good understanding of quality control systems - An understanding of food hygiene - Experience within a manufacturing environment - Operation of some detailed plant operations - Experience of manufacturing processes - Technical knowledge of production processes - Technical understanding of complex equipment - A knowledge of basic planning systems and demonstrated competence with task allocation - Experience with training and development of new employees - The ability to communicate openly with multiple functions across the business - Previous work experience in a BRCGS environment (Desirable) If you feel like a perfect fit for the Production Lead Technician Role APPLY NOW!
