Environmental Enforcement Officer - Lambeth - Full-Time; 42.5 hours - £34,365.50 per annum

As an Environmental Enforcement Officer, you will enforce local laws to protect the area from litter, dog fouling, various other breaches, and local bye-law violations.
So, what can you expect as an EEO?
You will be helping members of the public, patrolling streets and upholding environmental conducts.
What you will do:
- You will monitor and enforce within the London Borough of Lambeth by foot patrol, make enquiries and pursue action where appropriate
- You will examine reports of littering, fly tipping and dog fouling and other similar offence
- You will issue Fixed Penalty Notices for offences where appropriate
- You will prepare and submit relevant cases for trial and assist legal services in presenting cases to court and attending as a witness when needed
- You will record witness statements and conduct interviews under caution when required
- You will validate and verify personal details of offenders
- You will build good working relations with key service areas and other agencies including the Police
What you will bring:
- Experience of enforcement work (including security work)
- Knowledge of environmental services such as cleansing and waste collection (desired)
- Skill to converse well to different audiences and work as part of a team
- Be able to deal with complaints and resolve complex issues
- Enthusiasm and a positive can do attitude to work

Our client is seeking an experienced Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a strong background in criminal litigation and police disciplinary investigations to join a leading team that specialises in advising and representing police officers during complex legal matters.
As an Associate in the Police Misconduct team, you will:
Work closely with police professionals, providing legal support during misconduct investigations and interviews.
Handle inquests following deaths in police contact.
Represent officers in a variety of criminal and disciplinary matters.
Advise clients during IOPC and Professional Standards Department interviews.
Prepare detailed legal reports, brief counsel, and draft witness statements.
Manage your own caseload, including regular billing and financial oversight.
Meet clients KPIs and maintain high-quality legal standards.
Build strong relationships with clients and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

A qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive, police station accredited, with solid experience in criminal defence and police misconduct work.

A strong grasp of financial performance and the ability to work to billing targets.

Level 2 Maths and English Language GCSEs which can be Grade C/4 and above or Level 2 Functional Skills or equivalent.
We can only accept qualifications which are equivalent to this level of Maths and English specifically and cannot accept qualifications in other subjects.
5 years employment/education history without gaps as part of the experience and education history section of your application form.
