JOB DESCRIPTION
Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities:
The production lead is responsible for overseeing production processes the production of goods, product quality, ensuring that production goals are met, completion of production order, GMP and HACCP compliance.
They are responsible for the Production associates their assigned.
ESSENTIAL TASKS
Responsible for producing a quality product that meets all the Safety, SQF and Customer regulations Coach, counsel, train and develop associate's skills Establishes efficient production processes for all the company's product lines Assist in production as needed when short personnel Regularly train associates in methods of improving production processes Prior to shift start, reviews production schedule with the line associates and keeps them informed of any changes in product, line changes, material availability.
Complete shift huddle/communication with other department Supervisors and associates Assures that all formulas, labels, tools and equipment are ready prior to production start Inspects production lines regularly to assure that Good Manufacturing Practices are followed Makes certain that production areas are kept clean of waste, debris, and liquids to avoid safety hazards Ensures that at the end of the shift all documentation pertinent to production: materials and counts are accurate.
Completes all required information tracking and data collection Educates associates in pro-active response to down time and rapid shift and product changeovers Maintains effective communications between the personnel and shift supervisors.
Identifies significant issues related to quality, safety, down time, production problems or any other unexpected issues Lead and motivate associates to maximize productivity and minimize operating costs. Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/ KNOWLEDGE/ QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
2 years or more in a leadership capacity, experience in production, preferably in the food industry or manufacturing is preferred.
(A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.) Bilingual - English/Spanish is preferred Must be self-directed and able to work without close supervision Willing and able to work overtime as needed Hardworking, dependable, and safety conscious Certified forklift driver Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays Demonstrated ability to motivate and train employees Knowledgeable of SQF and OSHA regulations .
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Some standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing and pulling.

Assists in cleaning up chemical spills as required.
Follows safety guidelines in doing this task. Monitor supplies of floor cleaner, trash bags, and floor buffer scrubber pads, and makes maintenance manager aware of when these supplies need to be restocked. Reports all spills, leaks, equipment malfunctions, and safety hazards to the production supervisor and/or the maintenance manager.
Minimum Requirements

5 years' Janitor experience in an Industrial Environment.
Preferred Requirements
Forklift Certification Must be capable of wearing Company standard respirators as qualified by a fit test performed by an authorized agency.

JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL SUMMARY
Make all intermediates and finished products by adding specific quantities of certain raw materials and/or intermediates to a batch tank or grinding mill according to a written formula using proper batch making techniques and safe methods.
This position also requires application and monitoring of established quality procedures and methods for production batches.
Expedites and follows up changes to allow for prescribed quality standards.
Request raw materials for use in formulas.
Position requires knowledge of batch making techniques, machinery operation, scales and meter use, and formula knowledge.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned. Weigh and/or measure out quantities of solvents, resins, pigments (or dispersions), and additives into blending tanks or grinding mills according to a batch ticket. Tend mixing or grinding equipment and maintain control over time, heat, mix speed, etc. Upon batch completion, take product sample to QC Lab for QC checks. Check production batches by comparison to standards Make adjustments to batch as necessary Recheck batch after adjustments are made until product is within standard product specifications Use proper analytical tools to compare product to standard specs and to wet and/or dry samples Record results of comparison and record onto batch card Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion.

GENERAL SUMMARY
Make all intermediates and finished products by adding specific quantities of certain raw materials and/or intermediates to a batch tank or grinding mill according to a written formula using proper batch making techniques and safe methods.
This position also requires application and monitoring of established quality procedures and methods for production batches.
Expedites and follows up changes to allow for prescribed quality standards.
Request raw materials for use in formulas.
Position requires knowledge of batch making techniques, machinery operation, scales and meter use, and formula knowledge.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned. Weigh and/or measure out quantities of solvents, resins, pigments (or dispersions), and additives into blending tanks or grinding mills according to a batch ticket. Tend mixing or grinding equipment and maintain control over time, heat, mix speed, etc. Upon batch completion, take product sample to QC Lab for QC checks. Check production batches by comparison to standards Make adjustments to batch as necessary Recheck batch after adjustments are made until product is within standard product specifications Use proper analytical tools to compare product to standard specs and to wet and/or dry samples Record results of comparison and record onto batch card Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
