As our Filling Line Operator is responsible for operating, setting up, adjusting, and performing quality control (QC) checks while tending to machines & hand-fills to package paint in a safe, consistent and efficient manner according to specifications.
In addition, the Filling Line Operator is responsible for reading and following the bill of materials, preparing components, following order specifications to determine material and equipment requirements, and assisting with the QC process. Solving challenges is the very foundation of who we are.

Here's what you can expect every day: Perform all filling line machine operation functions related to the filling and packaging of all finished products, including setting up and operating filling line equipment, adhering to production schedule, making equipment adjustments and assisting with line changeover. Maintain quality standards by completing in-process inspection of cans, boxes and other containers. Certify that product weights are measured and recorded correctly; checking to make sure package labels and SKUs are correct. Housekeeping - maintain work area to 5S procedures, trash removal, clean work area and assist in monthly inventory of raw and stock materials as needed. May assist in directing of work activities of temporary employees as required. GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Technical Product Resolutions Specialist provides coordination and administrative assistance pertaining to the Product Complaint & Resolution Process or Warranty Service Requests (Warranty Portal) and works with internal and external customers to quickly and accurately resolve product quality and product application complaints in accordance with ISO standards and/or established guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Initialize complaints, assign tasks to cross functional team, (Technical Service, Sales, Research and Development, Distribution, Manufacturing, Product Management, etc.) and follow up to ensure complaints are resolved in accordance to established processes and ISO standards.
Develop and maintain an understanding of SAP and product complaint transactions and/or Warranty Service Requests (Warranty Portal). Coordinate analytical testing with Sales, Technical Application Specialists and Laboratory Analysts as it relates to the Product Complaint and Resolutions Process. Assist with training on the Product Complaint & Resolution Process and/or Warranty Service Requests (Warranty Portal) for both internal and external customers. Meet regularly with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality and Technical Teams) to review Product Complaint trends and current open complaints for all Tremco CPG product lines. Update Product Complaint Manual in accordance with our ISO standards and/or established guidelines. Place product orders, track and provide follow-up for the Technical Service Department (certification testing, field trials and project testing, etc.). Answer inquiries via telephone, e-mail and/or text from internal and external customers regarding all Tremco CPG product complaints along with inquiries from Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Tremco Sales Reps, Distributors and Homeowners regarding all Tremco CPG products. Act as back up support for the Technical Resource Center. Assist team on special projects and assignments as needed.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, Bachelor's degree in business, Science, Construction Management or a similar field preferred; in lieu of degree, 5 years of direct customer complaint and claims experience is acceptable.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
With high school diploma, 5 years of direct customer complaint and claims experience.
With a Bachelors degree, 1-2 years of direct customer complaint and claims experience required. Basic/working knowledge of Tremco CPG products. Customer service experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to travel to Tremco job sites to further enhance product knowledge, support the sales force, and gain new experience with Tremco products.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and situations over the phone and through written correspondence. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing the necessary level of customer and technical service to customers. Knowledge of the English language for structure and content, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar. JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL SUMMARY
Make all intermediates and finished products by adding specific quantities of certain raw materials and/or intermediates to a batch tank or grinding mill according to a written formula using proper batch making techniques and safe methods.
This position also requires application and monitoring of established quality procedures and methods for production batches.
Compiles, tabulates and summarizes QC data for analysis.
Prepares and offers constructive criticisms relative to variables and deviations from prescribed standards of quality.
Maintains statistical records having to do with quality, nature and causes of defects.
Expedites and follows up changes to allow for prescribed quality standards.
Request raw materials for use in formulas.
Position requires knowledge of batch making techniques, machinery operation, scales and meter use, and formula knowledge.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned. Weigh and/or measure out quantities of solvents, resins, pigments (or dispersions), and additives into blending tanks or grinding mills according to a batch ticket. Tend mixing or grinding equipment and maintain control over time, heat, mix speed, etc. Upon batch completion, take product sample to QC Lab for QC checks. Check production batches by comparison to standards Make adjustments to batch as necessary Recheck batch after adjustments are made until product is within standard product specifications Use proper analytical tools to compare product to standard specs and to wet and/or dry samples Record results of comparison and record onto batch card Consult with Main Lab chemist on products more than 10% out of product specifications Upon approval of product record data onto Quality Control car and enter information into computer data base Consult QC manual for specific requirements for product analysis of production batches and customers special requirements Calibrate QC equipment as required Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
