GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Chemical Process Engineer is responsible for ensuring safety, maintaining product quality, and enhancing process efficiency in a chemical production environment.
Additionally, this role emphasizes promoting a LEAN culture and requires active involvement in on-floor operations as well as spearheading significant projects related to process equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively engage in safety management, addressing intermediate-level issues with shift supervisors.
Independently conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA).
Proactively identify and address safety concerns.
Use DAKOTA software for compliance, incident reporting, and safety management.
Develop and refine "standard work" practices to better understand and apply LEAN principles.
Manage tasks on Engineering Tier and accountability boards, and conduct daily GEMBA Walks.
Lead projects focused on eliminating non-value-added activities using engineering principles.
Enhance equipment efficiency and participate in quality training programs.
Manage process equipment projects with moderate complexity.
Contribute as an active member of the facility's Quality Improvement Council (QIC).
Oversee medium-scale process equipment projects with budget considerations.
Mentor less experienced engineers.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
4-year degree in engineering.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
2+ years of experience.

Work in cooperation with the Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing and QA Departments to develop a robust supply chain for new and existing products. Conduct formal requests for quote, tabulate, review and compare bids with specifications to verify conformance; consider the quality of items, services and abilities of the supplier in terms of company needs. Evaluate, monitor, select and revise the supplier base based on price, quality, service/support, warranty, and reliability. Develop monthly reports and measures on purchasing activities.
Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Engineering or related field preferred. 10 years of procurement, supply chain or related experience required. Previous experience in overseas procurement supply chain management preferred.
Prior experience with vendor negotiation and managing complex supplier relationships in a regulated environment, strongly preferred.
Knowledge of contract management and legal compliance (e.g pricing agreements, terms of service), preferred. Experience with ERP systems required.
Certifications
Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred.

Purchasing
When needed, negotiate and monitor formal supplier agreements and other purchase and supply contracts. Train and coach purchasing department in new systems, practices, and approaches to procurement. Work in cooperation with the Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing and QA Departments to develop a robust supply chain for new and existing products. Conduct formal requests for quote, tabulate, review and compare bids with specifications to verify conformance; consider the quality of items, services and abilities of the supplier in terms of company needs. Evaluate, monitor, select and revise the supplier base based on price, quality, service/support, warranty, and reliability. Develop monthly reports and measures on purchasing activities.

Education and Experience

Prior experience with vendor negotiation and managing complex supplier relationships in a regulated environment, strongly preferred.

Certifications

The company are a privately-owned UK company with years of experience providing the design and manufacture of electrical and cable assembly products.
They are based from a modern facility in Hampshire with a close-knit and friendly team right at the centre of all they do.
This role is offering a Temporary to Permanent contract, working Monday to Thursday 7:30-4:30 with an early finish on Friday!
As a Cable Assembler, you will be:
- Following technical drawings
- Soldering to IPC standards
- Cutting, crimping, and stripping cables
To be considered for this Cable Assembler position you must:
- Have Cable assembly experience
- Have soldering experience
- Good attention to detail and be able to work to tight deadlines
- Previous experience within electrical only industry

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic Production Engineer to join our growing team.
In this role, youll play a critical part in providing technical support to our operations department helping to resolve production issues, streamline processes, and reduce costs while ensuring high-quality output.
Its a hands-on, solutions-focused position ideal for someone who enjoys variety and thrives in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the interface between Engineering and Production teams, supporting design reviews and improving ease of assembly.
- Respond to production issues, shortages, and technical challenges to minimise delays.
- Develop build assembly flow diagrams and check sheets for prototype and production builds.
- Support the implementation of change requests and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Design and develop tooling, jigs, and fixtures to aid production efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
- Support the Quality team during inspections and investigations.
- Contribute to staff training and workmanship standards in Mechanical and Electrical teams.
- Maintain high standards of project housekeeping and ensure adherence to H&S procedures.
- Occasionally travel to customer sites to provide technical support as needed.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment OR BTEC/City & Guilds Level 2+.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with 3D CAD software.
- Clear and effective communication skills (written and verbal).
Desirable:
- Experience in staff mentoring/supervision.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Experience with DFMA, DFMEA.
- Experience using 3D printers.
- ERP system experience.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Electrical Quality Control Inspector to strengthen the quality team and uphold the companys industry-leading standards in aerospace and defence technology.
Your Mission As an Electrical QC Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring that electrical assemblies, cable looms, and piece parts meet all required specifications, standards, and workmanship expectations.
You'll work hands-on within production, identifying and logging non-conformances, and collaborating across departments to deliver Right First Time results.
Key Responsibilities of an Electrical QC:
- Inspect electrical assemblies and components against IPC 610/620 standards (preferably certified to trainer level)
- Conduct line and roving inspections, raising and recording any non-conformances
- Validate wiring and component layouts using technical drawings, schematics, and wiring schedules
- Assist in root cause investigations and support continuous improvement activities
- Maintain meticulous inspection records via internal MRP and quality systems
- Actively contribute to production and QA meetings
- Support manufacturing with pre-closure checks to ensure top-tier output quality
What You Bring as a Electrical QC:
- Minimum 2 years experience in electrical quality control within aerospace or defence
- IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 expertise (Trainer certification highly desirable)
- Skilled in interpreting complex wiring diagrams, drawings, and specs
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and MRP systems
- Strong communicator, confident working both independently and as part of a team
- Calm under pressure, detail-focused, and solutions-driven
