DAP is looking to hire 2 Production Manager for Night shift.
1) Monday to Thursday - 6pm to 6am
2) Thursday to Sunday - 6pm to 6am
The Production Manager will work under the general direction of the Operations Manager, provides leadership for production teams within a high-performance environment.
Has overall accountability for the results.
Accountable for safety, productivity, continuous improvement, and all aspects of people management across day shifts or night shifts as assigned.
Ensures MS 168 standards are met.
Responsibilities
Managing others
Leads team in a manner consistent with RPM's Values of Expectations of 168.
Provides regular performance feedback and removes barriers that prevent the team from achieving goals.
Demonstrates a sense of urgency and tenacity to resolve problems and implement process improvements.
Direct the Packaging, Compounding Leads and plant personnel in assigned shifts to ensure safety, production, quality, and cleanliness requirements are met.
Daily assignments
Oversee daily employee job assignments to maximize use of plant labor and ensure all production reports are completed.
Complete any reports as needed.
Provides feedback and addresses performance issues as needed.
Monitor production flow
Oversee operational area relating to material flow to ensure high production efficiencies and smooth flow of incoming and outgoing materials.
Must be able to show flexibility by making quick decisions to ensure daily goals are met.
Monitor quality
Responsible for maintaining a consistently high degree of product quality.
Partners with Quality team to ensure DAP's standards are met.
Maintain & promote good safety & housekeeping practices
Supports the Plant's Safety Program.
Ensures compliance of all safety programs and practices.
Supports safety audits by participating monthly and ensuring supervisors participate as well.
with the hourly personnel and assure full compliance with all procedures.
Communications
Effectively communicate with all members of the team.
Be approachable and strive to build teamwork and positive morale.
Conducts regular meetings to share information and ensure two-way communication.
Uses DAP Star Recognition program.
Associate development
Assist in employee development, including motivation and training.
Maintain an acceptable employee/management relationship in area of responsibility.
Strive to promote teamwork collaboration in all areas. May perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, production or operations management.
3-5 years' experience in required field.
Require a thorough knowledge of manufacturing and operations management principles Good leadership abilities, specifically the ability to exercise individual discretion to effectively direct the work of others.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary result expected from the Quality Control Technician will be to assure product quality by preparing samples, conducting quality control inspection and testing of components, dispersions, and finished goods, determining adjustments for batches that do not conform to requirements, documenting inspections, and insuring calibration of testing equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform testing of production batches, incoming raw materials, finished goods, and components to determine conformance to specifications. Judge as "fit for release" production batches, incoming raw materials, finished goods, and components that are in conformance to all specifications and visually acceptable. Determine and communicate batch adjustments for any batches that do not conform to requirements, utilizing batch history, adjustment guidelines, and consultation with the Senior QC Technician, Assistant Supervisor, or QC Manager. Perform validation testing during filling to insure integrity of finished goods, including labeling, packaging, and fill weights. Communicate current status of inspections to Senior Technicians, Assistant Supervisor, or QC Manager. Communicate issues with work instructions and procedures to Senior Technicians, Assistant Supervisor, or QC Manager. Document inspection results.
Required Experience:
1-3 years of production/manufacturing/quality control experience preferred but not required. High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plus Some background in physical sciences and algebra Ability to accurately read and enter computer data through a variety of tests Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other MS Office applications Experience in SAP recommended but not required Rust-Oleum is an equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities
Provide process engineering support for raw materials, compounding, production, and packaging functions to improve safety, and support the MS 168 continuous improvement process.
Production Support

Continuous Improvement

Ability to read and interpret process drawings (process flow diagrams and P&ID's).
PLC with ladder logic analysis.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
PC usage with MS Office Suite (AutoCAD experience a plus), strong interpersonal skills, good communication skills both written and verbal.

Provide support to the Safety Committee.
Operate forklift or other transporting equipment safely and effectively.

Select appropriate coatings, paints, or sprays, or prepare them by mixing substances according to formulas, using automated paint-mixing equipment. Set up and operate machines to paint or coat products with such materials as silver and copper solution, rubber, paint, glaze, oil, or rustproofing materials. Turn dials, handwheels, valves, or switches to regulate conveyor speeds, machine temperature, air pressure and circulation, and the flow or spray of coatings or paints. Start and stop operation of machines, using levers or buttons. Record operational data on specified forms. Start pumps to mix solutions and fill tanks. Operate auxiliary machines or equipment used in coating or painting processes.
